To add sub-rider is very cheap, but Carry on Installment (COI) can be very expansive lesson, and consequence.

All you need to do is look up some COI experience in this forum. Best friends become arch enemies, fury words exchange over internet etc. Many who assume it won't happen to them, happen.

The bike is not yours when you COI. Cases happened when installments is near completed, the owner towed his bike back to himself, and disappeared forever. Police also can nor help.

If your loan is not approved, or you require guarantee for your loan, it usually means you do not have the $$$ to maintain a bike yet.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16

Change ownership is the best solution. No headache in the future.

To many things to consider - friendship, law, insurance, ownership, etc.

Ask him to quota u a price, if reasonable buy, if not look for another bike.

besides the cost that the insurance company is going to charge for printing a new insurance certificate, you may also need to top up the insurance premium (if you are less experience rider than your friend), as well as any other extra charges impose by the bikeshop.

so your best bet is to check with the bikeshop (yr fren bought the bike from) on the charges.

:goodluck:

do bear in mind the risk involved in COI as per mentioned by the other bros above. :)
