you must understand what each type of insurance cover...if you're scared then get first party lor...but only available to new bikes...for second-hand bikes you can only get second or third party. The latter's the cheapest and cover only yourself. first party will cover everything...even if people hit you in accident you can claim. not so sure about the second party...

 

 

3rd party insurance:

claim to 3rd party's insurance company, if the accident is your fault, you will not get a cent from the insurance company, have to pay the repair cost yourself... no claim for stolen or being burn.

 

2nd party insurance:

same as 3rd party insurance, claim including theive and fire, it means your bike kena stolen or burn you can claim for your loss.

 

1st party insurance :

no matter you hit somebody or somebody hit you, you can claim to your insurance company, not need to wait for police report to justify your fault or other's fault.

$3.5k? hmm Lee Motor's offering a new TA200 for $4288 with DP of $500 and interest of 4%. sell value depends on condition as well as paintwork lor...one advice: don't sell to dealers, they sure chop you x 2...do you have a pic of it?

I just spoke to Lee's Motor (624 Serangoon Rd) they claim they cannot and have not sold a TA200 for that price, they will be losing money. Are you sure that they offer a new TA200 OTR for S$4288.00 (with 2nd Party insurance). They claim S$4288.00 is not OTR, it excludes COE, insurance and roadtax.

fs/ft plate rs125... gotta be wary... bikes one-two year period normally require a lot of parts replacement, so do all 2nd-hand bikes... bt for dat bike, most common problem is the soft rear suspension, 2 of my frens, both got same prob... bike riding like a boat, up and down endlessly, the damping effect is gone after a year. probably due to a busted seal..

the suspension do soften... but not that bad, and its adjustable... if its really really bumper like er... mine... its the suspension holder. the holder's baring probably bursted!

fire, are you sure RVF still have unsold model as new? If I'm not wrong, unless seeking quote from overseas manufacturer or other factories which still stores the existing RVF, you will not able to purchase a new RVF in Singapore. Unless the COE has been renewed and machine reconditioned, FW or FV plates will be seen on the road. Presently, RVF was noted and declared as no longer in production by those motorcycle shops.

Recently, i just realised that most of the people out there riding FU and above were import set. As what i asked from one of the motorshop, it says that this particular motor as honda RVF, no dealer dares to import and resell it because of the rectifier fault was discovered. But fortunately, I have solved the problem from persisting by installing a cooling fan attached just below the rectifier and regulator. see posting message of RVF, detailed specifications were enclosed should you are interested in this installation.
