the Hoyo Epi2 performed well straight from the box albeit less strength then our regular smokes.

location is quite ideal if we all are nearby town considering amount of candy available to the eye.

great stuff:bouncefire: :thumb:

yup... the epi2 was surprisingly smokable rite out of the box, though i had a rather uneven burn. lots of smoke, and the sweetness came after the 1st third. a mild cigar perfect for an afternoon smoke, which was my first.

the ample supply of eye candy certainly enhanced the exp. haha... though the fact tat pple ard us didnt really like the smell did bring my enjoyment down a notch.

...aiyoh...nitestalker, why you let the cat out of the bag...

I like to think that they could have shifted away from the sun as well as away from us.

anyway, i remembered many years back when i was in VelvetUnderground sitting on a nice big armchair sofa in the main area. There were a few babes hanging around, but once i lit my cigar and started smoking, they all "siam"....

Sev, cabinet series for all Cubans used to be unbanded. But from 2005 batch onwards (I think!), Cubatobacco decided to put bands on ALL Cuban cigars. The Epicure No. 2s are from the 2005 batch. Thus, they're banded.

Guys, the Lusis are here. If we cannot gather to meet this week, then probably after Throttle comes back from Medan.

oh ya... we forgot to take pics. come to think of it, we've never taken pics on any of our other outings anyway. nvm. there'll be more outings to come

sev, u did miss out on a fun outing. a pity u couldnt make it.

thanks for the info entity...

next time i'll bring camera for our gathering, we did took photo at our very first sbf cigar meet, that time was with nubergames & intruder, now no news for them liao...

Not been to the forums for a long while and certainly find the information here useful! The smoke I am craving for is Trinidad Reyes, had one smoke on someone else's cigar and loved it...sure hope to get a complete one for myself soon. A friend also recommened me St Luis Rey (coronas I think) and Ramon Allones (robusto for this one I think). Anyone who has smoked these do let me know if it's good..thanks!

Posted

Reyes, i just smoked one a few days ago.

I like Reyes quite a lot, it is my regular small cigar for now.

St Luis Rey, i only smoked the REgios long ago, no impression becos i didnt find it that good. not lousy but not that good.

Ramon Allones Specially Selected (Robusto size) is a fairly good cigar in my books. I wont buy a box of these but dont mind singles. you may prefer the Ramon Allones Gigantes (Double corona)

I am smoking a Partages Mille Fleur right now! Was reaching for a reyes but decided to have a change of taste. hohohoho

Maybe it was the cut or something but I liked how smooth the Reyes was...generally can't go too wrong with a Paratagas

yup... u cant really go wrong wif a partagas. so far i've tried the D4, P2 and shorts. but im tryin to refrain from buyin anymore partagas cos i want a little variety. :cheeky:

the fonseca no. 1 i tried last nite was another value-for-money smoke. had a beany taste halfway, which died off towards the end. first time i had a cigar tat tasted like tat. not too bad...

OK fellas, here's a deal.

I have a Romeo Y Julieta 125th anniversario (replica) Humidor for sale.

Humidor was imported from US. There is a very slight chip on the humidor so I am putting this up for bid below cost.

Starting Bid S$100

Size is for 25 Double coronas so you can store more than cigars if the vitola is smaller. Color is dark wood lacquer with handpainted picture of Romeo and Julieta

Humidor does not come with humidifier nor hygrometer

I will post pic as soon as available.
