Well, if anybody can make it, impromptu or whatever, just head down to Con D on monday cause I'll be there (or at the Wine place across the rd). Still can have a good smoke with a 3-4 people.

Tried the Partagas Serie D3 last night. An EL from 2001. I must say that the young P2 my friend smoked was better than my D3. Perhaps I dun like the super-rich dark, intense smoke that much. Or the P2s are just so damn good..

I've had 5 D3s in my life and all were good. very slightly bitter, and full of coffee chocolatey flavors generally. P2s are probably the best latest regular line cigar to have been introduced recently. Monte's Edmundo comes in quite a far Second.

 

The best of the D series in my opinion is the D2 EL 2003 (Robusto Extra).

I only have about 7 left.

LAtely, i've added to my apartment a shelf which i'm currently using to display my humidors and cigar related memorabilias.

The D3 is not a bad cigar. Exactly the same flavours that Throttle described. But much too intense and full-flavoured for me.

BTW, forgot to mention that your cigar shelf is great! Nice division of space between the TV area and the "disco" area. Looks more cosy now. I love the design and feel of your place.

 

If you ever get the 30 more boxes to fill up the space in your cigar shelf, you'll hear me clarmoring to go there more often to ogle..

Now the only Upmanns I can smoke are my Connoisseur No. 1s...
