Some Outcome from the meeting for the Local Charity Ride 2004 ( Proposed )

Date:27/6/04

Day:Sunday

Time:0830hrs till 1500hrs

Meeting Point:TBC

Destination: (To Be Confirmed)

Price: TBC

Additional infos: Open to all rider and pillion. Each bike will be given either a ribbon or a scarf to tie on the bike.

Things to know:

Each group is to have a min of 8 and a max of 15. Depending on the rest of the 17 groups of bikes group attendance.I think the Yammy group aint coming for this so it will be down to 16 groups.

If we going to have less group then we can have more members in each group. Else the bigger the group the smaller the members will be in each group.

After meeting all TL we have come to a decison. In order to make this maiden charity drive works is that we make it simple.Simple and EZ for everyone convience.

We have decided to visit 1 charity home. It is going to be a children homes. Now it is still in the process to find a suitable home that can accomadate our presence and also our bikes.

We will spend the half a day there. What we are gonna do there is that we will mingle around with the kids or probably we can do some spring cleaning, entertaining etc.

At the homes itself we will be having a buffet lunch there with all the kids and ourself in the homes.

We will be collecting old clothes or tin can food from our own individual group and then give it to them on the day itself. For the money contribution it is still not decided yet how it is going to be. However one IMPORTANT NOTE: PLS PLS DO NOT SOLICIT ANY KIND OF DONATION FROM MEMBERS OF PUBLIC.

Meaning DO NOT ask your neighbours, collegues, strangers, bikeshop etc cept your own individual groups members, family members only. We need to have a license and a permit to do public donations. This is a contribution from our own group and it shouldnt have outsiders in it. Any MEMBERS caught trying to solicit donation will be severely dealt with. ( i am serious about it) if in doubt pls approach your TL for clarification.

Ok for the riding parts strictly NO CONVOY riding at ALL TIMES. Each individual group will be given a seperate route to end up at the homes. Also Each bike will be given a ribbon or something to tie on the bike as to show that you are members.

Lastly TL pls appoint a 2nd in command TL if you are unable to turn up for meetings etc. Otherwise is going to be abit tough for me to keep on explaining all over again if you miss the meeting. I would seek your kinda understanding. As for those TL who attended yesterday meeting i hope i did answer some of your queires.

that is all for now. Thank you for your time.

PS: There will be a second meeting somewhere 2 or 3 weeks from now.

From Organizer ( R1szuan )

Hornet 250 Specs

Power: 40hp @ 14000rpm

Torque: 24nm @ 11000rpm

Wt: 151kg

Just a correction from my earlier post.

The Hornet 250 has quite a lot of pwr & torque.

As compare to say...

S4 Pwr: 53@11000rpm,

Torque: 38nm/9500rpm

Wt: 168kg

Could see that the hornet has a better Pwr to Wt ratio.

Ok... Hornets 250 riders,

How about some reviews for for those intending to buy one.

matt surface seem rough, if accidentally scratched with sharp or blunt object jailat coz i a bit clumsy .. and matt especially the silver color seem to trap dirt/grime easily. anyway i'll go to the showrrom and have a proper feel again on the surface.

wat's the price like for a 600(latest model) hope you or other new hornet 600/900 owners tell me more. one of my choice if i decide to upgrade.

How's the new Hornet 600 coming up?

Already in the market? 17-litres.. how i wish they made it 18-litres (same size as super fours) that'll make a reallly compact 600cc however. how's the rev sound like?? not like a jet plane (hornet 250), i hope
