Saw a black Adiva parked outside MacDonald's House at Dhoby Ghaut yesterday afternoon.

Wonder if it is one of you guys here?? :)

Yeah, I've seen this fella there before too - also often see another black one riding up and down the SLE/TPE in the mornings/evenings. Sometimes I see a yellow one up and down Still Road. Today I even spotted 3 on my way to work 1 red, I grey, 1 black - what were the chances?!

:(oH mAN! So, sorry to hear about this bro - but relieved that you're ok.

Scooters and Phantoms are so like that with wet floors! This so-called 'anti-slip' layer in many carparks are actually more of a hazard than help!!!

Bro, how'd you manage to pick your ride up since it was so bulky?

I quickly turned off the enigne, then "unbuttoned" the top shelter so that it will be easier for me to lift up the bike.

I only succeeded on my second try as the floor was quite slippery with all the flooding water.

I just re-sprayed the right side fairings and the right sided fairing besides the pillion seat.

Total damage = SGD 230.

I still have to look for a right side rear view mirror as it broken and it is now hanging like a loose tooth. My bike shop has called and checked a few shops, they do not have stock.

One of the shops was asking whether the rear view mirror is the same as a SYM.

Do you have any idea, Mr Chew?

Can you help me ask your mechanic at Mah Motors whether it is the same right side rear view mirror as a SYM? Or worse come to worse, I got to buy from Mah Motors if they have.

But am worried that Mah Motors will be super duper expensive...

Sighz... :(

muahahahaha...

Are you lucky or what??

Spotted 3 in a day...

Think the possibilities are slimmer than the 1-in-8 milliion over-chances ToTo...

hahahaha...

By the way, a young gentleman came over to me to ask me about my Adiva ride when I parked it outside my bike shop yesterday evening when I went there to find my mechanic for help after the skidding incident yesterday morning.

He said this is a cool bike and asked me how much I bought it for... lolz...

seahmh,

I've p.m. you some numbers to call if you need more info about the side mirrors - hope they can help ;)

Hi, Chew,

Thanks very much for your contacts.

I only called up Mah Motors PL, didn't get a chance to speak to Kenny, but spoke to a lady only. So I asked her how much does a right side rear view mirror cost?

Ans : SGD 70 BEFORE GST.

OMG... So expensive for a piece of weak plastic...

Total damage for a car-park skid on a rainy day = SGD 230 + SGD 74.90 = SGD 304.90

So expensive...

:faint: Alamak! And bro, this is without factoring in 'workmanship' some more!

Why not try out the other number I p.m. you? But seriously I don't think the Sym side-mirrors will fit because I stopped next to one at the lights earlier today and it looked so very different :(

Yah lor, still have not factor in the "worksmanship"... But luckily, I can just buy the right hand side mirror and ask the mechanic of my bike shop (at B.Merah Lane) to change for me. He has agreed to help me change, but I must go buy the mirror myself. But then, not sure whether he will charge a small "changing" fee or not.

:( :( :( Oh, no, this is not good...

The shop at Rowell Road which my mechanic called to check out stock for me, said it is better for me to ride down to their shop for them to check to see if SYM mirror is the same as an Adiva...

I went down to the shop twice, but on both occassions when I reached the shop, they are already closed.

Now that you confirm that SYM mirrors are so different from Adiva, don't tell me I really have to put my head on the "M@h M0t0rS" brand chopping board and get "chopped" SGD 74.90.

Bro Chew, for the other number which you PM-ed me, I am not familiar with anyone there at "F.Scoot"... Will it be another "chopping board"?? Or is there anyone you know whom I can look for???

Sorry for providing trouble for you.

Thank you very much for your help.

if i remember correctly, i did see a few adiva using after market mirrors.... perhaps you can contact wonderful motors at 96936520, botak and ask him if can "modify" it. in that way, u can save some cost.

btw if your mirror isn't crack into pieces, he might even be able to do some "magic" to save you from buying another mirror..... he did it for a xevo few weeks ago....

Dear fellow Adivians,

Top that - 43degC recorded on my thermometer at Tampines Mall Basement Carpark!

Highest ever recorded on my thermometer (outdoors) was 37degC last Friday afternoon 2pm :thirsty:

The KPE tunnel comes close - a consistant 34degC each time I rode through (day or night!)

what'a your highest temp on record?

Saw plenty of fantastic looking shiny black AD200s at Mah PL today - one FZ plate even had huge cool speakers afixed against the passenger backrest! All of them waiting for a new home, I guess ;)

Actually still think that the red benelli adiva 150 is pretty flash - saw one at Mah PL just the other day while I brought my ride in (yes, yet again) - this time for fixing up the cashcard reader that went kaplunk on me :(

:thumb:Great idea - going to plan one for this Friday evening >7pm. Trying to find a suitable place where we can gather all our cool rides, grab some hot bites and talk the torque? Was thinking of either the Carl's Junior at ECP or Kallang McCafe - both convenient locations and plenty of room - can also keep a good eye out for our bikes. Will post this up on the upcoming trips and outings related (beyond the screen section) of this forum.
