Is that your bike? Instead of trading-in might as well try and sell yourself. The trade in price for my X8 is so low I rather keep as spare. So is it your bike? Sell me, sell me :cheeky:

Sorry, I regret to inform you that you will have to view it at an "A" bike shop along Bukit Merah Lane after this afternoon. :(

Sorry that your interest to buy came a little too late.

If it came a few days earlier than last Sat, I would have consider your offer.

Sorry about it.

Do let me know if you are going down. I should be there tomorrow evening at aroun d545pm - 6pm, if it doesn't rain, to fine tune certain things on my new ride. :)

You can PM me or drop me a SMS at 98488027.

I bring you to see the boss. I already told the boss that there is someone interested in this bike.

Don't let one of the sales person serve you. He will cut you dry (if you know what I mean). :)

Hi, does anyone know if our Adiva 200's ignition system running on TCI or CDI?

No more regrets.

Posted

ok i just confirmed this evening. Our bike is running on TCI as the positive of the primary ignition coil is always on. the ground, however, is pulsating.

sparks last a little longer compared to CDI which (i tink) is the main reason why the bike starts up so quickly

No more regrets.

Congrats to the new owner of a AD200... :)

He got it at a very good price.

Bro, I can safely tell you that the boss really did not earn a lot from that sales.

The price he took back that ride is close what he sold you, only mark up a little bit.

So congrats to you on getting a good deal.

Enjoy your new ride from next weekend onwards. :)

Thanks bro for recommending me direct to the boss. Looking forward to next weekend :)

Your bike is really well maintained.

Now already thinking of what to add: Head unit, speakers, side deflectors, maybe a matching retro helmet ... :cheeky:

congrats! a side deflector is a must. the difference with and w/o one is day and night....

No more regrets.

No problem. I am doing a good deed for myself too.

(Not referring to Bro paiseh.) Actually, I didn't really maintain my ride. So your compliment is an over-statement.

I think speakers are good to have, but don't forget to pay the radio licence fees.

Side deflectors are good to protect you from the rain coming from the sides.

A retro half-cap helmet... Just beware that some of these half-cap "army helmet"-style helmets are not PSB approved. So just be very careful not to get into trouble with the "uncles in white". :)

Hi Paiseh, do you mean without deflector we'll get wet in the rain?

How about wind? If totally cut out the wind can be quite warm on a dry day right?

w/o deflector your sides will get wet. not say very wet la but with side deflectors, much better :)

No more regrets.

seahmh, you are no longer riding your AD? Got a more powerful bike now? :)

My AD200 has changed hands to one of the bros here.

It is a good ride, simple and easy, twist and go, just that maybe I am not suitable for a scooter. :)

Got X8 the moment I got 2B license 5 years ago. Now AD200 is my 2nd scooter. I probably forgot how to change gear already. Maybe govt should provide 'auto' bike license like cars.

New AD200 rider here :)

Tested top speed so far 110, I think can go faster if down slope. Didn't try. Comfortable cruising speed around 95-100. Need almost full throttle to get to 110. Nice sounding engine. But can be quite loud at 100. Normally I wear earplugs anyway, makes the ride more peaceful. Can be quite warm when riding with jacket. During traffic jams, easy to squeeze between cars due to mirror position is above most cars' mirrors. But watch out for lorries, mirror same height as lorries'.

Very torquey engine. Can get out of traffic lights quickly if you wish. Pls don't compare with Class 2/2A bikes lah ...

Seating position can be quite tight (comparing to my X8). I can stretch out my arms and legs while riding on my X8, can't do that on Adiva. Still not used to the roof, knocked my helmet couple of times when mounting / dismounting :cheeky:

I noticed the 'boot' can be adjusted. When the boot is closed, if you see some gaps between the case and the rubber, water will seep in. Check out the hinges of the boot and you'll see 4 ellen nuts (2 per hinge) for u to loosen and adjust. The default setting of mine left some gaps when closed. So I adjusted mine.

No chance to test heavy rain yet. Probably need to get side deflector. Confirm Mah selling?

Posted

Also need to get a new helmet. My OGK can't fit under the seat. Which helmet are you guys using that can fit under the seat? Don't want to use those half cap lah, safety first. Maybe those classic or vintage looking ones? Any legal ones?

Posted

Wa lao ... side deflectors cost S$450 w/o GST from Mah. Any better ideas?

Posted

Quiet here ...

Anyone knows how the 'Service' light is activated?

By sensor (for some faults), time based, mileage based?

Mine just came on and I can't reset. Probably need to check with mechanic tmr.
