Hi guys, just a little incident that happened this afternoon, and to that st1300 malay rider FBA65xxS, hope you can watch your riding attitude next time.

Never once in my 3 years of riding have i been so disgusted by a fellow bike rider, so this was what happened i was travelling along TPE, traffic was quite light and i was cruising along the first lane about 90km/h. The first and second lane was clear of vehicles at that point of time, then came this white st1300 at a very much faster speed, so he was about 4-5 cars length away from me, i signalled left and changed to the second lane as i was very sure that he have no intention of overtaking me using the second lane. Then he rode pass me sounding his horn all the way and his 'magic' finger came up. If you think that i've blocked your way which i'm very sure i didn't, the sounding of the horn i can accept, for what did you point that middle finger for? So i caught up with him at a traffic light after exit at 3c, i went beside him asking for a reason for that rude gesture, not only was he non-apologetic and he in return asked me whether i have any problem, i told him my problem was a reason for that rude gesture. After the traffic light turn green, he just sped off.

 

And to that malay rider, is this what you learn to do after so many years on the road as a biker? No respect at all? Point your finger then act as if nothing happen? I believe you're a much better person in life, just don't because of a split second of venting your anger, you showed the ugly side of human nature.

I am abt to change air filter for my STX. Is it a good idea to change to KN&N air filter ?

i have been using for quite a while now. the plus points imo is able to clean and reuse again. increase in hp and such is subjective. for me not much noticeable difference except after just reoil and cleaned.

Initially my fear is that KN&N filter is not compatable with STX. Shizzy and you have confirmed it is compatable. Thks for the inputs. I get a quotation from Planet Motors that the price of the KN&N filter is $130.

Yup, it's compatible. Strongly recommended by Meng Tong. But his price more expensive.

Those in the states mod the injector valve if that's what I remember , to increase hp with the k&n.

Changed my filter to KN&N and coolant to Engine Ice. I am enjoying a smoother and cooler ride right now. Syiok .... but not sure for how long this will last.

I dun think so got stock islandwide.

 

Last Thursday I went to several shops...all dun have size for ST13...only BT023(not GT spec) got size for ST13...

I think it's quite a good price infact pretty low.Pretty low mileage too. Just make sure bike is fine and no hidden problems. I assume it's a white model?

Thanks for the advice. It's not white but black. I bought the 06 STX @ $15500. Fully stock and 33333km. Looks brand new, original paint too. Comes with Hondaline top box that looks like the Goldwing top box, with arm rests and back rest. Even has the third brake light spoiler like the wing!

Good deal! The hondaline top box is not cheap. Great ride and mileage.

Anyone here ever installed radio in their STX? Was wondering what setup can i use with regards to Head Unit and Speakers choice? Are there any bike workshops that specialise in this? Or have to send to car workshop?

speaker 4inch. headunit normal. but dont get with cd as it will bump during riding.. (better with usb). can send to workshop but make sure you have connections ready for them and watch them do. not many will want as opening the panels and such and running the cables. not easy.
