Basically the "H" stands for Halogen. Almost all bikes are using Halogen bulbs except for most of the cl2b bikes. The numbers behind stand for the type of halogens bulb, etc type of connector. The most common halogen bulbs used now is either H4 or H7. H4 has 2 filament inside which one bulb can be used for high/low beam. While H7 is only one filament. So if your bike have seperate high and low beam then most likely you are using 2 x H7 bulbs. If you have an intention to change to a whiter colour, you just need to take note which type of halogen bulbs your headlight used and most important, it wattage. Even with the same H type, there is different wattage avaliable. Most common is 55w. If it is low beam, most likely it will be H7. While for high beam, it depends. Cause recently k5/6 G1 and K6/7 600/750 used a slightly different type of halogen bulbs. For G1 I'm forgot the type, but for 600/750, they are using H9 65w which is brighter. Next look out for the colour temperature usually will label like, etc 4500k. The lower the number, the more yellow your bulb is. The higher the number, the bluish it will become. White is around 6000k, bluish is ard 8000k and so on. Hope it helps to clarify your doubts.

hey bro,

thanks man... clear my doubt.

so low beam h7 high beam h4

i wan it to be brighter than stock.. so is it i choose 6000k n above?

also is ours 55w?

and how much is one of those piece?

Hi bro Newbie`41..

I installed the maxxis supermaxx today at bikelab..

then i brought it to 2nd link.. with the wax still on cause no time to wash it off..

the tyre is very stable at high speed..

but i dun dare to jump into corners or wheelie wit it..

i did play a few corners but did not pull as confidently with racetecs, supercorsas or bt014(which I had 2 changes)..

good thing was after a few slides..

perhaps the wax on the left side came off already..

feel quite shiok liao.. but i dun dare pull throttle cause i dun noe its limits..

tried to lift the bike.. it did not slip but somehow i dun feel the grip when it jerks up.. so i close throttle..

is it just me and my midset that hard compound tyres warm up very slowly and slips easily? or do i have to go a couple hundred km before i can feel the grip?

i filled the front up with 36psi.. back 38psi..

any recommendations? josh say this air pressure can liao..

seriously i've never tried hard compound tyre.. so need to check wit u..

be using this tyre for touring trips..

getting the 2ct from speedway early this month..

cause stok of 180 rear is currently out of stock..

any personal reviews of the 2ct at PG? anybody?

Some people measure their adventures in miles or days. I prefer "lamp posts".

erm.... H7 can also be used as high beam. H4 is used on those headlight which uses single bulb only, etc Super 4. With just one bulb with 2 filament (H4), one filament is used for low beam while the other for high beam.

If you want brighter, you have to take higher wattage, but too high will break the fuse and drain more power from your battery.

In my opinion, white is not bright, it is just glaring. If you compare a yellow and white bulb, yellow tend to be "brighter" as you can see clearer. White to me is more for cosmetic purpose.

You are riding K7 600? If do, the low beam (H7) is 55w while high beam (H9) is 65W.

The bulbs can cost as cheap as a few dollar for a pair to more than $100. Philip makes one of the better halogen bulbs, and the model which most ppl prefered will be Diamond vision which retail at $80 per pair.

No, race tail does not come with lights and signal. You will have to improvise it yourselve. Undertail wise, normally you will have to buy it at an additional cost or you can used your stock one. Race tail can cost from $290 (cheapest I can find) onwards maybe to $500+.
