I see... thanks for the info... But does this apply only to slipper clutch or other normal clutch also

 

only for the k5/6 1000 slipper clutch, when you get that jerky feeling that when the slipper need to be adjust. normal clutch when slip, just change the friction plate, As for other model slipper clutch like that yamaha and kawa one, i dun know.

ohz..thanks for replyin! lookin to buy a k5, but it doesnt come with original lights and has no fender. dun tink will pass inspection. so just need a rough gauge of price to factor into how much needs to be set aside. signal lights for both front and rear shld be less than $50? fender also less than $50?

 

Bro, ur K5 do not need to go for inspection for 3 yrs. That's mean by 2008 also no need to go inspection. Only when 2009 then you have to go already. BTW, which shop are you going to buy it from? Be extra careful of buying 2nd hand bike. Look for scratches at the fork, rims, fork slider got oil or not, check the side engine casing for scratches. Don't buy on impulse. Be extra careful. If minor accident you can consider. Don't buy if you see any visible markings especially on the engine casings. Also listen for the sound of the engine...If you can hear the sound of an uncle roasting some nuts, then don't buy.... :cheeky:

mm... not sure about major problem... but have you check the basic things.. is ur chain tighten properly...? how bout your clutch setting.. issit too loose or not...? jus some idea before you bring in to workshop and get chop for nothing... :)
I checked the chain and everything, looks okay... Not too sure what is the problem... Hope it isn't the clutch and flywheel. Cause my previous bike had this similar problem also, ended up is the flywheel spring broke, sianz...

I was at Tachyon Motors at around 3.30pm just now. I saw prodigalson316 riding past the workshop. My bike erratic idling started again so got Ah Tak to have a look at my bike. NBZ, didn't realize that 02 R1 also got TPS problem. Ah Tak worked his magic and now my bike swee liao... :thumb:

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...
