Second hand tyres as long as got a lot of threads, shouldn't be a problem. If the tyres show signs of going botak, then best to get brand new ones...

its not only abt thread.. some tyres may have left alot of thread, seldom use the material hardened loses its grip.. in my opinion is not to save for the tyres by buying 2nd hand, i would rather save by fixing less cosmetic parts.
