our stock k7 600 suspension setting for 180lb bro. im not suprise if a 51kg rider wud hav a harsh ride on his new k7.

 

Bro he is riding K4/5 not K7... it become a harsh ride after he set he suspension... wat i mean is if stock is ok for road use Y have to set for better cornering in singaopore road? I know somebody set for the properly tune suspension in order to feel comfort for road use. but will you really use it on the road? If you can set it to ur comfort good for you but if you cant set it to ur comfort you have to keep setting and setting waste of time...

I have installed a headlight switch to switch off headlight when engine started. So when warming up, I switch off. Then when go off, I switch on. When reach traffic light and light just turn red and its going to be a long wait in a hot afternoon, I normally will kill the engine and let the fan continue to blow or let it cool down. I find that this bike if left for idling, it will heat up until fan turn on. I think if left for idle longer, it may explode haha... No wonder manual say do not leave the bike to idle for prolong period of time. The headlight switch is useful during day time becos even after engine is kill, headlight will default remain on, unless u turn off key and on again (trouble some). I kill engine, switch off headlight and wait until green light then start engine and turn on headlight. I scare kill engine, light remain on, fan also on, by the time green light, no more battery to start engine.

 

Actually I have a bad habit of conserving ennergy of battery since 2B time. My battery will always be always fully charge. Same habit when I drive car. Whenever I don't need headlight, I sure switch off to conserve energy.

Hi Guys, I just installed a 2 way alarm on my 07R1. Everything is ok except the remote ignition engine start. I just got the wiring diagram from the Factory service manual and planning to settle it within this few days. Hope I can get it to start remotely.

 

Now the functions available on the alarm/bike are:

 

1) Arm and disarm with chirp sound or silent mode. Both with Signal light flashing.

 

2) Shock and sound sensor which will sound off the alarm for abt 10sec.

 

3) If in arm mode, the key in put in and turn on, the alarm will sound off like mad. If continue to press start button, no power is available to start, machiam like engine kill is on.

 

4) If anybody steal my alarm, key and ride off. I have a spare remote to kill the engine and make him crash.

 

5) Search bike function allow bike to chirp 8 times with signal flashing when pressed.

 

6) Remote engine start without key on.

 

7) Riding without key.

 

8) The remote is a 4 button LCD display.

 

The alarm only cost me $250. And another $50 installation. Total $300. $100 cheaper than steel mate alarm selling at motoworld. I not so rich, can save must save.

my advice is not to wrap.. esp headers. imagine hot on the inside, wet on the outside, moisture trapped inside, will surely cause corrosion. and i see no purpose in insulating the headers. suppose to dissipitate heat not insulating heat. as for the link pipe, as long as u take out the catalyst, it will be cool enough for normal street riding..

Some people say wrap, got difference. Not as hot. Some people say wrap will cause corrosion. Up to each individual, I guess...

yes change Y pipe got a bit of difference but u get $500 from rov coz of emission rules..same go for cars

if unwrap, its cooled when u park the bike

if wrap, it retains the heat and it will become hotter inside when riding, as it is higher temp, it reduces the "material strength" as a result, u get corrosion and exhaust leakage in the long run, thus bike lose power.
