my r1 broke down in less than 3 weeks after getting from shop.

 

Was riding for after 20km, reached a traffic light. waited for it to go green. suddenly bike died, tried to start . no cranking sound but "tak tak tak" sound coming under my seat.off the bike, pushed to roadside. after 5-10 mins. tried to start, there is a little crank, but stil end up having the tak tak sound.

 

Anyone experienced this b4??

 

bring back to the shop. i believe they can solve the problem better than us. too many possibilities

remove thermostat? no use... remove engine, confirm no more heat.

Thanks man, its already back to the shop, i just wanna know the correct problem and i wan them to solve it since its stil under warrenty.. dont wan them to temp fix the problem . after few mths later i have to pay few hundred to fix the starter motor or wat.. hmm.. since u said too many possibilities.. then its hard.

 

by the way.. will putting cashcard in ur ERP for 2 weeks drain up your battery? cashcard left 10cents. will it keep displaying low amount all the way until drain battery?

never tried such "stunt" before. but if you leave your cashcard in there, and still ride daily, i doubt the battery will be drained

urs dun nid lar bradder. slip on street legal pipe wif baffle on are meant to suit the basic tuning aka oem mapping of the ecu. but if got backfire or very choppy ur throttle then u nid to tune liao. but usually will be fine. hav u checked ebay for the mirrors?

 

 

I'm getting the backfire whenever i drag my rpm more than 5k.

What does this mean ? Need tuning ? What kind of tuning ?

Tekka or PC3 ? I haven check for the mirror on ebay coz

If u had been following and reading, u would have known that there's no effective solution for this heat issue.

 

Remove thermostat to reduce heat? Eyes cannot see high temperature figures means no more heat? Come on, use a little common sense

 

I dun discourage questions, but when one doesnt give their own questions any thought before asking, who can u blame when u get shot down?

Erm... I experienced the exact same problem as you on my few months old R1 as well. It is confirm the starter relay. You get tiak tiak tiak but it just doesn't crank. Changed the starter relay, and wala!

means the fuel air ratio too rich. got money get pc3 and tune if not tekka will do a basic mapping for ur pipe.
