ya i think so too.. but Tyræl is the most kind hearted among us. there was once we were riding, an old man crossing the rd, Tyræl dismount from his bike n help him cross the rd. where to find such people?

Hi bros, anyone here with or encounter these problems before. Basically my K2 meter has 3 problems.

 

1) Fuel Level light is always on.

2) When i off the engine with the ignition key, the tacho needle will get stuck and will not return to '0'.

This doesn't happen if i off the engine with the engine kill switch.

3) The meter can't store time. Whenever i off and on the engine, the time will goes back to '1.00'.

 

So i assume its a faulty gauge and the only solution is to replace the whole gauge?

i did not change anything. everything is stil e same after i got e bike. at 1st was ok, but after sometime, u can feel da e performance is not there . mayb i will service my valve clearance n get a adjustable cam chain tesionor.hopefully by dan e problem reduce.

Basically, try to find another K2 kaki & borrow his meter, put at your bike. If problem still occur, might be some wire sh0rt somewhere, its a good hint why your meter went back to default at 1 oclock.

Just tried a friend's new 07 R1 yesterday and took it for a relatively long ride... For those 04 - 06 riders who are wondering what are the differences:

 

07 Throttle is abit insensitive, I think it's due to YCC-T. Same problem on 07 R6 I tried. But it is no issue pulling out of corners, infact I think it is better for handgun riders who ride the R1 like riding cub. But I still prefer the sensitive throttle on my 06. Bike has almost same power, which I couldn't really feel the difference. But there is probably more pulling power on the 6k to 10k rpm range.

 

Throttle lag at 3~5k rpm. I'm not exactly sure when this happens, but whenever I want to pull hard after a slow speed hairpin turn on higher gears, the bike has totally no power. Almost felt as if I was falling. I think it occurs around 4k rpm when you try to throttle hard.

 

Some of the most outstanding things about the 07 R1 are the brakes and the slipper clutch. The brakes are really much more efficient on high speed stops like from >120km/h, not much diff for slow speed. But it lacked abit of initial biting feel, but that's okay I guess.

 

The best thing which I felt on the 07, was definitely the slipper clutch. I could go into corners in very high revs and downshift by just blipping abit, or sometimes not even blipping. Without having to blip so much means I can brake better, harder, later. Not so much for road use, but I think it's very effective on the track.

 

Other than that, it is still a R1. Posture and everything else still the same. Always exciting.

Erm... No leh.. I think it is better in the sense that I can give more modulation. I need to turn more to achieve same throttle on the 06 I think. But then again could be me getting used to my own bike, cause I adjusted my throttle free play to none.

Handgun riders means they play with throttle like they play with their -censored-. Rough and hard, faster. Oops.. Maybe just me lah..
