I hope this discussion thread is not becoming a war zone for "mature" riders. We hope every riders can co-exist peacefully. Any displeasure with anyone kindly take it offline.

the 4 posts which were deleted were not offensive nor intimidating

This thread was supposed to be a discussion for R1 right? We know all are fun-loving group of riders and I hope we can focus on peaceful discussion on the R1 instead.

If you upgrading to this bike and all you can see in this thread is blah blah blah and alot of pictorial of non-related post I think you'll be turn off too.

If there is target audience to chitchat and arrange outing why not start a thread over at Chatterbox or beyond the screen. I sure it will serve the targeted audience well like those in existence now.

As for the 4 post, NO post were being removed in this forum and it is hidden till we've discuss with the sportbikes section moderators on this. I hope mature riders can take the lead to coach the new guys and the cycle goes on.

Actually, I wanted to volunteer to transfer all TCSS contents to a new R1 thread in the Chatterbox Section. However when I saw that the R1 thread pages has reached 657, :faint: . Looks like I have to wait for the school holidays or maybe during the Chinese New Year holidays to do so if all R1 bros agree to this ..

ya a good idea, since most of the Riders here are quite chatty.. you'll have my support. so the rest can concentrate on the more technical issues here.

So far i think at least 8 bikes going liao. Anymore? Those interested can PM Jacky80 or me, can gimmie a sms at 97906699 too. Inform me early so that Jacky or me can co-ordinate. Thanks!

PS: I regret to inform everyone that Yew Meng Restaurant is not certified halal so this trip is not suitable for our muslim kawans. Will organise another one that our muslim friends can join if there is sufficient support for one though. :cheeky:

Is it really?

From the title of this thread, I thought it's about the people who actually own the bike, the riders.

Perhaps TS needs to give more thought into his thread title.

And in case anyone is wondering, the term was originally coined by Ah Joe, later on "used" in this thread title

Given SBF's habit of merging threads, we didn't really think that would be a viable option. But since now you have given us the green light, we can look forward to having a thread for those who actually ride their R1s :thumb:

Since there's already a thread on R1 technical issues here , and outings/chitchat will be moved to chatterbox, I wonder what they will talk about here in future.

So what's the stand of the R1 riders? All technical discussion in this thread to be spilt out and join the original YZF-R1 Technical discussion thread mentioned by bro Tyræl? And this R1ders thread for all those riding R1 and to be moved over to Chatterbox or Beyond the screen?

Any good solution can pm me & Bro Aie to discuss.

Andrew

Great. Since there is already a technical R1 discussion thread in the Sportsbikes Section, I'm going to move this R1 thread to the Chatterbox Section where we can chat to our hearts delight. Anyone coming in asking about technical aspects, we'll just refer them to the technical R1 thread. All R1 bros agree to this?

Henceforth, this thread is just for us to chit chat and orgynise outings only. All technical aspects for the R1 are to be discussed in the technical thread in this section... :thumb:

i would vote for closing this thread, use back the r1 technical discussion thread, and openning a brand new one in "Beyond the Screen"

anybody with me?

FYI the R1 technical issues had been abandoned since 2006. Tat's the reason, many of R1 bros have been coming in here to ask bike related topic.

Perhaps u could start another thread on this outing only for R1 R1ders.:)
