Shawn, EO rating eg 10W-40... just look at the back number. the 10"W" is for the viscosity in Winter, cold weather.

I always advocate NOT scrimping on EO... use full syn... personally I use the OWS and preferably the Mobil 1.. if your engine is buring oil (eating oil) use a 15W50.. otherwise, stick to mfr recommendation.

well, installing an alarm do have pro & con.

juz few days back I was eating at a coffeeshop & I juz park my bike at the void deck opp the coffeeshop. A group of small malay curious kids went up to "touch touch" my bike. so I juz sound my alarm to deter them. initially they were taken aback but soon found the alarm interesting, wana play wif it somemore. I sound it the 2nd time, but they are happily laughing, enjoying the "music". Eventually, I've to shout at them then they walk away.

 

so my conclusion is, alarm might be useful against adult thieves. but to a bunch of small innocent kids, maybe they found the new "toy" interesting. if I happen to be away tat time, I tink my batt will be played till flat!

good tyre too... came in 2nd rating out of 27 street/track tyres in current bike magazine.

$320 a pair is what most shops quote... make sure they include balancing.

Service manual is the Factory manual from Suzuki..Teaches you how to completely strip down the bike..The one which comes together with the bike is the Owner's manual..
