How do you check whether the TRE is working.

For my case.

Warming up

1. During Neutral, rev Rpm to 3000 then clutch in. RPM will drop to 2600

2. During Neutral, when I clutch in, RPM goes up by 100-200

After bike hit 80 degree

1. During neutral clutch in, rpm drops by 100-200

Any exact senario to confirm whether it's working? Using a 15K ohm

Mmm.. actually the RPM should rise instead of drop if im not wrong

Shawn, you seem like a reasonable guy...doing some checking around before taking a plunge (with your bike and money); let me "use" you, as an experiment... come see me, I'll have a look at your bike... and see what your ticking problem is about and look at your basics like TPS etc... and the if you like, I do the teka for you.. like it , pay, don't like it, I re-set back to original (assuming that you have not done any Teka tuning before, because I won't know what Teka settings others have done... can only reset back to OEM settings), and no payment required..[/b]

woH....john, heard from shawn you did a good job on the teka thingy....one day maybe i will look for you to do on mine...

Yup, got some feedback that he's happy with the bike... small detailed adjustments can make a lot of diff to a bike.

I am happy to make riding more pleasurable for fellow bikers that's all...of coz no free lunch la :sorry:

I was just thinking, why the Teka can make a diff... why didn't the Factory make the bike optimum before it leaves the plant for the showroom, why people still needed to tune bikes even for non-modified racing class?

I reckon it has to do with engineering tolerances... everything is built unequal.. same injector, fuelpump, etc have diff finished tolerances on the parts performance/dimension etc... so what we do with the Teka is to fine tune the bikes individually, I guess... make sense?

sh*t! that sucks man!!

Maybe you can make a "hidden" switch to break/disconnect the ignition wire circuit or a switch to make the "kill switch" in on position from a hidden switch so that will deter/slow down would be joyriders/thieves.... that's what we use to do before bike alarms were available.

Hmm.. smoking can be hazardous to your health huh (stress!)!!

Very ex too... 1 pkt a day = S$10/day = $3,650 a year... think of the things you could do with that... sorry to preach at this point in time
