Hmm,it's a gud investment...

Though I'm not a track goer I dun want to take any chances...

Better invest now than later things happen...

The expenses later might be more than wat U paid 4 the silders...

And the gud things bout E.X is U can juz replace only the spoilt ones,

instead of buying a pair and keep the other side...

Unless really suay both side oso kena... :slapforehead:

i think the material used is the same... but i think their slider dun hav metal inserts in them... less stronger... and also...once u over tighten ur bolt... that's it... buy new slider...

Cos around 2 years ago when e.x sliders was just into the market, i was servicing my bike at a local bikeshop and chance upon the sliders, so out of curiousity i ask the shop owner bout his comments..

He said "Sliders are meant to act as a abrasion between the bike and the road surface in an event of a low side, which means it should be sand off and stop ur bike but that pair of e.x sliders doesnt perform such things. As we remove 1 set to file, sand use electric sander, we cant seems to wear down much from it."

Conversation translated as that thus the question i have about the sliders..Would they actually prove their worth or add more damages..

Haha dun say dat la, 400 n 600 different style of riding.

600 is very similar (again to my opinion) to 250. I've been training on the 250 and I find the entry speed similar to 600. You just have to have that confidence to dive into the turn no matter how fast you think the bike is going... just DO NOT go straight. better crash while cornering then going to see how the tyres look like at the far end. i crashed at t1 in my first session trying to push the bike tho. then i realised i have to ride it smoothly, again like the 250... and tings have been nice, just that i am shredding the corsa III so my progress is limited.

just sharing views, not trying to be smart here peepz...

though i'm not able to push this 600 as hard as my 250, i dare not enter into corners at speed of my previous 250. Harder braking due to much higher speed attained at every twist, have to adjust with harder engine braking and morever, this bike does feels heavier than 250, again i know u can't a 600 with 250.

well its good to learn from u, since u have experiece with many many bikes.

use the handlebars. counter steering work 2-ways, if you get wat i mean. there is nothing wrong with the gixxer, at least not to me.

look at the asia pac riders from indon... they dun really win, but look at their laptimes... easily faster than the r6's and cbr6's and what nots.. it's the rider that makes the difference... all bikes has its strength and weakness.

just my 2 cents' worth of tot....

Yup, I understand your logic. Counter steer is the fastest way to flick the bike. But I felt a shorter rake angle or shorter wheel base or a lowered front does make it faster and less effort to flick.

Anyway the geometry of the bike is something like an aiding tools to the rider. Example a muscular person can use a hammer with a short handle to hit a certain force on a wall. But a weaker person can achieved the same force with a hammer of a longer handle. So, the best rider can makes the most out of the bike. However with a much more efficient bike, the best rider can make out even more from the bike. The hidden message here is, if the rider sucks, too bad!! But there is still hope for you..

Just my thought. It always good to share knowledge with fellow bikers.

Ps: You are seriously fast lor. Seen you riding in PG, super impressed!!!

i have heard EX sliders to be very hard too. Cutting with a machine is not equivalent to (choy!) your bike sliding on the tarmac. Wheather elson has changed the material or what i dunno la long time nv visit him liao...

Relax!
