Both Equally good and Expensive...

Akra exhausts do not come with y-Pipe i guess, Arrow do come with it.

hmmm... saving up now after my C28 is fixed.

btw whats the price range about? Intending to buy the slip on only for now.

Posted
of cos its the TTX... price wise... a lil above 2K region...

A cheaper alternative is the WP Race Suspension... but yet to be tested so can't comment as yet..its still uh.. lying in my room somewhere..

Yeah.. WP.. I agree. Good stuff.

How about the Y-pipe? Both are actually slip-on.

Cos the Arrow titanium dual exhaust with Y will cost you about 1.8k++. For akraprovic will be slightly more ex as it is carbon fibre. Furthermore it does not come with Y.

I doubt you not getting Akraprovic Titanium aren't you?

The cause is usually additional air introduced to the exhaust after combustion by the bike's AIS/PAIR system. Taking this out or blocking it off should reduce the backfiring esp if you got no PC3. PAIR systems admits air into the exhaust ports to burn any unburned exhaust gases. Emissions control thingie lah... side effect = decel popping.

The AIS found on the R6/R1 and FZ1 is similar la. AIS takes clean air from the airbox and uses vacuum to pull it into the exhaust port where it mixes with the unburned fuel and ignites in the exhaust header.

Look at your service manual, pop your tank, open the airbox, find the AIS hole on the airbox, it should be connected to a tube of some sort, and block it off. Can use a big ball of bluetack or otherwise.

But if you got a PC3, then just go back to the shop and ask the mech to help you remap to reduce the popping lor.

Dont tell me you are gonna get it??? :faint:

Guys, for those who have seen me, I'm thinking of changing my rear tyre to 190. Currently using 180. Any advice? Comments?

I would suggest sticking to your 180..

I believe Ohlins TTX version is only available for K7 onwards. Give Sporting Motors a buzz to confirm.

for 01 model which is still using carb, try the following first ...

1) try changing iridum plug first, if still cannot

2) service carb, change air filter, still cannot

3) change dyno jet

oh man, this is kinda of deep even for me lo..think backfiring is norm in such situation la..those frequent track visitors are still riding their bike in such good condition still..not to mention those in Moto GP..just don't do it in the presence of those Hot Fuzz..:faint:

Any reason bro? No worries just want to know why you say so?

180 is definitely more flickable, some ppl riding 1l or haya are even switching down to 180 than to stick to 190..

Factory fitted and tested the bike on 180 for a reason..
