Every down shift, i'll surely use my clutch. Bliping method.

 

I don't use clutch when i'm on the track changing up gear. The throttle has to be closed slighty then open again, when changing up gear. The timing has to be right in order to have a smooth gear change.

I do this becuase its faster.

 

U don't need to be above 200 to do this method. And its has nothing to do with being safer or not. It just to be quick in gear changing which can affect timing on the track.

I second that. To add, do not ever downshift without blipping/clutching-in. The clutchless shifting only works on up-shifts. Most track riders feedback that their clutch-pads last longer with clutchless shifting, and it is definitely a faster way to up-shift as there is no time lost from the absence of clutch slipping.

 

You can try clutchless up-shifts by applying a constant pressure on the gear lever, then shutting off your throttle slightly and twisting it back on again should shift the gear up smoothly. Different bikes have different reaction on the rpm though, some bikes can smoothly shift up on lower rpms and some bikes can't. I've yet to try clutchless up shift on my new R1.

But for my preivous bike, Ducati 999, the gear change is soooo smooth.

Even a friend who tested my bike also said the same thing.

My Road Tax Expires on the 29th of April.

 

Tried to renew the road tax but was however referred to HDB for some reasons.

 

Clarified with HDB that the issue was that I had commited a previous parking offence on 22nd FEB 2008 and it has been compounded into a court case.

 

Fine on 22nd FEB was registered with a previous bike of WHICH I had sold It off in September 08 and nothing was brought up. neither did I receive any letters from them.

 

Bought this Aprilia In October 2008 along with 1 yr insurance and road tax.

 

How can selling off the previous vehicle and purchasing this new bike with road tax is allowed ? and I'm only told now when I want to renew my road tax?

 

In the first place I shouldn't be allowed to sell nor purchase road tax for aprilia right?

 

Was told to head to cantoment warrant department on monday to collect a memo , head down to HDB to settle payment , head back to LTA to renew road tax.

 

With the fine being tagged to my NRIC as claimed , they actually allowed me to sell off my bike and bought road tax and now they reject the renewal.

 

Can anybody tell me what the HECK IS GOING ON?

My Current Road tax expires on the 29th of april which has already passed.

 

Wants to renew my road tax but was told by LTA that i couldn't as I had some problems with HDB and they have block me from renewing.

 

Went down to HDB for clarification , understood that I had a commited a fine on the 22nd of feburary 2008 and thats why they want me to clear the fine before releasing the renewal clearance slip to LTA.

 

However , the fine back in 22nd feb 08 was commited on my previous bike.

 

I sold this previous bike in september of 08. and in OCT of 08 , i bought this new bike.

 

Since they have records of my fine , they shouldn't even let me buy road tax for this new bike in oct 08 right? why deny me of renewal only in april 09?

 

To my best understanding , after 3-4 months of defaulting your fine payment, you'd be sent to court.

 

And with that record , how can I sell off my previous bike to the new owner at LTA and they did not mention anything bout the fine? and worst still , they allowed me to get new ROAD tax for my new bike which they now , refuse to let me renew unless i clear up the fine.

 

I have no idea what this fine is , i need to go down to cantoment on monday to receive the summon , GO to HDB to clear the summon and only then i can head back to LTA to renew the road tax.

 

HDB mentioned something bout a warrant of arrest for failing to turn up in court IN WHICH , I RECIEVED NO SORT OF LETTER.
