the normal TRE will cause your gear indicator to stuck at 5th gear. But the smart one from BikeTech 21 for K5 1000 bypass this problem!

I had the same problem as u last time! Luckily the meachanic manage to settle for me in 3 minutes! Just use a extendable magnet-tip pointer, insert it thru the pole light hole and slowly u can pull the pole light out! But ur hand must be very steady and not those shaky type!

2005~2006 --> Honda CBR L model 400cc , stock bike...

2006~200? --> Yamaha R1 02 1000cc , K&N air filter , power abuser , grounding , ohlins damper , Micron race exhaust, hel brake hose... WTB~~ PC3 , after market header n single seater...

Well i am no electrical expert to eleborate more on the grounding thing. But as i myself does have grounding on my bike, basically i find that:

 

1) It stabalises the current flow, therefore my headlight, singals, horns are much more stronger

 

2) My battery last much more longer, as it has been 2 years since i last changed my battery

 

3) U will feel a slight increase in throttle response as the stable current flow gives a stronger magnetic current in your coil.

 

That is how much i know of it :smile:

It will be complicated but possible..I'm too lazy to go figured out a wiring diagram for it cos SLT doesnt sell the resistor which was mention on the Gear Indicator diagram..

hmmm, i'm not too sure also. The panel tat is shown is actually from my group project last time during my poly days. Got 'kapok' a few panels and resisitors for the project. Anyway, the project consists of using a microprocessor la.. Quite chim leh. But if just use normal resistors should be ok i think. Just need to get the wiring diagram onli...

I got use this in my ITE last time also..

 

Full wiring diagram below..I forgot when i got it... :lol:

 

But the main problem is finding the correct resistor value..
