Hey all,

I just joined the gixxer family and have some questions. I have a K1 1000. It the steering supposed to be very light? Also, what tyre pressures do you use. I dropped it to 32f 36r and it feels abit more stable now. And lastly, whatare your various suspension setups?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks.

No side effect, but it best that you get a PC3 to tune your air/fuel. Cos our stock bike is already running lead, after changing exhaust, it will be much leaner. Which mean you might feel that your top end is not that as good .Our stock bike can hit 299 on 5th gear without mod. But dun be suprise that your bike cant hit that speed laio, as wat i say is is running lead. But may i know wat exhasut you using? Cos not all exhasut will effect that.

Hi riders, just a gentle word of caution to all those who park their beloved bikes at any multistorey carparks ....

Please cover or armed your bike with alarms or whatsoever so as not to make it look appleasing or tempting to vandals or thieves ....

One of my friend riding an 06 R1, just bought this Feburary was disturb when he left his bike uncovered, pleasing, tempting and inviting unwanted visitors to beautify his bike .... :nono: :nono:

1st case .... pillion seat was found tampered when he unlocked it and saw that there was deep and massive scratches on the lock hatch. Could also see clearly that there was some chip-off from the material.

2nd case .... there was syrup spewing out from his undertail exhaust when he start his bike. When the exhaust is hot, there was a very strong and unbearable smell (due to syrup water evaporating). He had to endure it for quite some time before the smell is totally gone.

3rd case .... his engine cover was covered with some sticky liquid and he took quite some time to wash it away ...

4th case .... could not unlocked his handle lock as someone tempted to unlocked his handle bar using a screw driver. The damaged was so bad that the original key could not be inserted into the ignition switch. Had to call for tow truck to tow his bike and change a new ignition switch.

:gun: :gun: :gun: those bas***ds

well u can't blame them ....

how to identify which stolen part is yours? For street legal exhaust is still possible due to the serial no ... unless u are going to engrave every part of your bike like damper, brake discs, fairing, shock or whatever accessory with your bike no, it's really impossible to recover any stolen parts from your bike at all ....

at the most they can do is to step up more and frequent patrols around your area. But the key thing is that u have to deter thief and vandals away from your bike and it seems that deterance is only the best way out .... :sian:
