any1 ve any idea hw it may affect the performance if a bike is taking in air from a external breather filter n the airbox @ the same time

 

normally we juz bypass the airbox engine's air tube if we install a external filter tube direct to the engine....juz wondering hw it may affect at hi speed which i ve nv tried....

at low speed...0kph-130kph it appear for my 00 model,lower temperature n faster pick up...maintaining 80kph,reading is only 90++ compare to b4 close to 100...then @ 110kph-130kph....my temperature drop to 72-73(with micron end) compare to usual 75-76(with micron)....all temperature taken ystd 16sept06 8pm from sengkang TPE-ECP marina south

 

any comments/reasons on hw i gt the readings n is there any harmful side effects if i prolong using this combination??

Well bro, from what i know is that engine lifespan won't "die" so easily as long as u did not do any mod on your engine ....

 

Bringing down the temperature helps to prolong engine lifespan and maintains engine performance so it is not really an issue about having negative effects

 

But i understand your point as maybe u trying to ask any side effects on the engine performance right which i don't think will cause any lah

frm wat i hv seen is almost identical to ah joe's bike, his too has an external filter being install near the pillon area.
