it's not a temperature sensor.

A thermostat is a so call device that will open up at the designated temperature, let's say 85 degree cel to allow coolant to flow into your engine block, thus cooling down your engine parts to attain maximum performance.

is there a thing called a high compression gasket ? Wat is the diff between it and the normal gasket ?

High compression gasket is self explainable by its name. It is a thinner gasket meant replace your orignal gasket to increase the compression ratio of your engine. But after changing, your engine will run hotter, need higher octane fuel and engine reliability will drop.

hmm... my bike oso got inconsistent idling leh.. esp when i start ride and stop... after tht try to start again, will start then die in a sec.... so i had to twist the throttle abit, give abit of fuel to the engine press the starter then can.. but very leceh leh... ppl will always think i wanna blow them sia..

now i need to find a reputable shop who noe's wats wrong wit my bike and gimme a solution.. there's the tip tappin sound commin out from the front of my engine too tht needs to be resolved..

anyone can recommend me a good bike doctor??

The ticking sound is quite common among the suzuki bikes. Most likely might be the cam chain sound. Whats the ODO of your bike? If it below 60k, there isn't a need for you to do valve clearance. The ticking sound is quite obvious even when bike is warm up for the valve clearance case. If the ticking sound quiet down after warm up, might be the cam chain. As for the inconsistence idling, go have your throttle bodies balanced and possible reset the TPS. Just my suggestion. Recently there isn't much great bike doctor around. Maybe you can try Bikewerks at Shun Li Industrial park.

sounds bad when the thermo is spolit. Any effect if not repaired? All bikes hv that ,isit?
