He said that the bike pick up will be fast. Since 4 iridium plugs cost $72, I thought expensive ones must be very good lor so fixed those. Other than you, another friend also said not to use iridium plugs. No wonder when I drag my bike on 2nd gear got like backfire sound. This Friday I go and change to normal plugs. Thanks, bro. Denso Iridium IU27D is the standard plug for 02 models and above.

real lacing iridium plugs > $65 (4pcs/1set)

the plug you using i believe is meant for bikes fitted wit cams and hi-com gasket liao..

in short, its like fixing a 12v batt on a 6v rxk..

too much for your bike to take it..

maybe you can check wit ah bee or ah san what iridium plugs they fixed on your red eagle hor..

aie kor kor better check what iridium plugs hkl fit for you ok hor..

 

lemme explain to u why hor

note that different models come wit different heat ratings..

too high the rating.. bike will have trouble idling for long periods.. tend to foul plug - but plug can be cleaned (pssst.. get the picture aie kor kor..)

too low the rating.. the plug will get hot causing detonation and possible piston/cylinder damage :x..

 

thats why its goot always to use oem plugs..

or those specified in the manual..

got put model no wan inside manual.. be it iridium or not..

specific part no = specified heat rating for ur bike

hope this answers all ur questions..

 

got many thing to explain but explain till morning also cannot finish..

iridium can use one

but make sure use correct one..

gotch iridium for racing also..

so make sure u get the one specified in ur manual that ur bike can use..

best is always try to use oem plugs lor..

But hot plugs and cold plugs have their uses too also lah.

 

Hot plugs help to start up the bike easier during cold weathers like now rainy seasons coming. Cold plugs help to disperse heat in a way, thus your engine will not overheat or should i say performance will be kept to the maximun. Iridum plugs are not meant for performance only, they are also meant to last longer. Meaning that they can last easily for 20k mileage without having to change any spark plugs (provided your engine does not foul etc etc) thus saving costs.

 

OEM plugs are good for on the road use only, but if u are the sort who is looking for performance and those 299 craze, i doubt it will last u long

 

Just adding on what i know about OEM and Iridum plugs
