For me, i choose to go bikelab for my necessary changes...Cos they treat my bike like their own...

 

Currently using Pilot Power..Good IMO...Next pair gonna go for Power 2CT...Pads using Vesrah HH now...Going for Braking CM55 next..

excel is at ubi tech park there, "shun li" area. they are the authorized agent for GPR exhaust if im not wrong.

 

btw, its GPR Thunderline, not GPR "Pi Li Huo"

Hi guys just wonder any of u guys experienced ur bike's RPM cant exceed 6RPM???

 

Mine currently got FI and cant exceed 6k RPM... haix somemore weekdays cant go bike shop need to tahan till saturday!!!

This website show a lot of diy stuff which u all can try. tre mod, pair valve mod, how to balance trottle or the dealer mode which supertzm need for to find out the problem for FI light.

 

Do u all realise there is a white plastic connector just dangling it between ur seat & pillon seat (near the main fuse & rectifier), with a rubber cap on it. somehow i read from the web, if the two wire connected (wif a paper clip or special tool?) the dealer mode will be on.

 

Any expert here who like to diy their bike or try b4 these stuff pls share?

Yes, in dealer mode, the dashboard will display the FI error code. And with the serivce manual, you can actually know which are the item/sensor which prompt the FI light to light up. Regarding how to switch to dealer mode, I haven't try it yet. But it is to short 2 pin somewhere on the bike and it will become the dealer mode.

 

supertzm : You riding K5 600 right? I got the k4/5 service manual. You mentioned that you can't go over 6k rpm? I did heard of such occurance where the FI lights up and to prevent furthur damage, the ecu prevent the bike from reving over certain rpm. But my guess is that maybe your Throttle Position sensor (TPS) need calibration. It quite normal for the setting to go out.

But the FI need to activate the dealer mode? then can get the code haha too naive of me! haha

I got the soft and hard copy. I can upload the soft copy on those online file sharing website. Then you can download from there. You can follow the instruction inside the service manual to troubleshoot your bike problem.

Hmmm.... Come to think abt it... I think that lite below the LCD is juz the rev light for ur bike.... when u set it on, the white light will blink once it reach the rpm u set beforehand to indicate u to change gear... I think it's more of a "track accessory"...

 

If I'm not wrong lah... haha... Coz that's how I'm using it....

azhar7, I think u mean GPR and not GRP rite??? GPR I noe where got sell... Excel Cycle at kaki bukit got sell... Akra I'm not sure...

Voltmeter is used to so call monitor the voltage on ur bike... a good way to let u noe in advance if ur battery is weak a not and if it's charging a not...

That is my little knowledge abt the voltmeter lah... haha...

If u guys think I'm wrong abt anything, feel free to point it out... dun wanna share wrong info also...

You could be right cos from the svc manual..The dealer mode is just a switch with a connector to connect to that plug..Flick the switch on and the dealer mode comes on..

 

And if that is really the case, can easily DIY that switch + connector..

Err.. when got FI display & red light mean ur bike is "sick" this is the symptoms.

the dealer mode is so call the "diagnostic" to find out where is sick (retrieve the error code)

 

y ppl try to use the dealer mode is to save $$ from repairing it in the workshop & instead repairing themself.

 

where is sick, no1 know, could be a minor or a major problem if u continue riding. better seek a gd doctor soon cos u may not have the correct tool/part to repair as well.
