If your budget is 300++ and you don't want continental brand, then I suggest you take back BT-014. Some rider will swear by it while most of them will condem it. But do take note, it not really a bad tyre, it just that it do not have a good heat cycle. But overall, it is still a above average street/sport tyre. And a new 014 beat the OEM in term of quality.

 

As for the fuel saving, yes, PC3 does help to a certain extend. Cause what it do is making your engine more efficient. But might not be obvious. Unless you want your bike to run lean (more air and less fuel ratio), then you might save "some" petrol.

-While training, can do 15 chin-ups, 2 weeks later can only do 5 bcos

of the training and punishments...

-After BMT went for Guards Conversion course and got my Khaki beret

-Every week got outfield at least once - 3D2N

-Our C.O. very on , everytime captain and warrant officer course need

"troops" we'll attach to them to train...

-Went thru all the section,platoon,company and battalion mission and turned

operational on July 1999

-Went to Australia for Ex-Wallaby on Nov 1999

-Came back to train for Brunei trip , had a 3 day route march of total 72km

-Climb up and down our coy building (5 storey) around 30 times a day

-January went to Brunei , our PC insist we find all 6 checkpoints for Ex-Nomad

and while looking for the last one , we "HORLAN" till the third day..I was biten

by "fire ant" it's Fxxking PAINFUL!!!

-Had a 2D1N NIGHT mission , followed by a 4D3N mission total 84km map

distance.

-Came back to Singapore and train like crazy for our ATEC

-April 2000 had our ATEC at local and obtained ATEC REDCON 1

-After that went for last live firing exercise, then all the way everyday NDP

marching rehearsal..Cannot take leave or off without RSM approval..

-Commando cheated and won the Best Combat Unit , we're only the army

marching contigent on the 9 August 2000.

-Cleared leave till 2 Sept 2000 and ORD ..

-Leave and off still got 30 days balance ...

BMC has higher airflow than K&N.

 

BMC is used in WSB bikes.

When making your purchase, you can ask for "Street" or "Race" filter. They offer the option of both. You can specify which one you require.

 

Sorry, I do not know who is the distributor for BMC now. Most shops should have it, I guess.

i got a friend tell me must change to k&n filter. really improve the bike performance alot.. but in what ways ah?? he couldn't explain..

 

 

and he said a K&N filter only cost $50.. and it's the most worth it thing to change....

-No training, was able to 14 chin-ups, running abt 11min..(on my own)( BTW I'm 97kg at that time)!!

-Attended Combat Medic course for 11weeks,( A C2L2 soldier as a "COMBAT" medic!!!

change to K&N save you money I agree(cos it's washable) but just

by installing the filter itself won't enhance the performance, you need

PC to increase the fuel inorder to match the higher air flow...

 

The bike will feel sluggish initially when u only change airfilter, after

some time when the filter picks up dirt decresing the airflow rate then

the sluggishness will lessen...

 

K&N airfilter got so cheap one meh? $50 ? For what bike ?

hmmm what u mean use pc to increase fuel?? so chim one??? i am riding 04 R1. i heard from friend de... so i ask forum lor... not sure also... but is it recommended to change to K&N filters or use the original one?

Its Recommended to change K&N filter for R1 98-02 & BMC Filter for R1 03-07... It's an advantage for R1 04-07 to change BMC filter cause less heat for underseat exhaust...
