Inspection - Enquiry & Advice

Like mentioned earlier, the light test at inspection centres is to test the beam angle. In europe, it is considered a pass/fail test. In SG, the centres have such facility, but the authorities chose not to implement it. If you noticed, most european cars have headlight leveling switch, to compensate the beam angle due to different number of passengers.

Looks like LTA has relaxed the headlight bulb requirements, previously only yellow (non coated) bulbs and bulbs which attained some certification (Like Philips Vision Plus) are allowed. Nowadays they allow blue coated bulbs, but still very vague on the requirements. They should specify eg, how white/blue is ok, in terms of kelvins. Aftermarket HID is still not allowed, unless you vehicle comes factory-fitted with it. No change.

Make sure evverything is in werking order la. Ur brakes, signal lights, brake lights, horn, and everything that needs to be there is there..eg side mirror etc and everything that is not supposed to be there is not there la...eg illegal end can, leds or any other illegal mods.
