If you go to England, then expect to pay 1 pound sterling for what you would pay 1$ here.

So if a Hotel is $70 per night here, then it's gonna be 70 pounds per night in Manchester.

The same applies to taxis, trains, busses and food outlets.

Double the prices if in London.

For London busses and the tube, you can get a day ticket for Zone 1 and 2, so Maybe Manchester has a similar scheme.

Restaurants will not specifically say they are Halal. You have to ask the restaurant when you enter.

If you go Manchester, I recommend you stay in the city centre where you got more choice to do things. The football stadium at Old Trafford is about 3-4km from the city centre and maye not so may interesting things there.

one thing i learnt when i was in e uk..water is expensive..beer is cheap. went to a pizza parlour to eat..a bottle of water was 2pound 50 while a big mug of beer was 30 pence..wah lau eh. also..their currency is stronger..almost 3 times..so lets say u buy a snicker bar for 1 pound..if u convert it..dat snicker bar cost SGD$3. my experience in london..u dun have many malay cuisine food bt u cn find indian cuisine quite plentiful. bt its rather ex...a plate of nasi briyani would easily cost 11pounds. end up i stocked up from tesco on bread n all dat..cheaper alternative..hehe
