My AP1 has no problems and it is tapped from the battery direct thru a relay and into the diagnostic plug.

Borrowed from Advrider.com

Nice. thanks for the heads up. meaning the tapped wire will trigger the centech on start-up. i can tap into anything that have a low current that will 'switch on' the relay, may it be the diagnostic or acc plug?

its for my f800r. thanks a million :cheeky:

Welcome back, Jason. Hope you have recovered well. Do take it easy in your riding for now. Tell us more about your experience next time we meet yah?

Anyway collected bike from PML for the recall issue ... found the fuel pump assembly needs to be repleced ... warranty ran out 10 months ago ... PML managed to get 80% waiver from German head office ... good gesture ... save loads ...

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me like the R1200s do have more problems than the earlier series. Not that I have spare cash to buy one now, but still... a factor to consider.

I heard BMs are known for having electrical problems as soon as their warranty run out, both cars and bikes. Mercedes don't seem to have such problems... :sian:

You are welcome!

Not too familiar with the F800R but the silly "accessories plug" under the GSA seat runs only 5AMP (virtual fuse).

So gotta run to the battery direct and the Diagnostic plug.

FR88 is on a 2006 WHITE GSA and might have change up to a 2008 GSA.

FX88 is on a 2008 RED GSA.

Both could be PI BMWs from Looi and you might have a hard time with PML if ever you want them to service PI BMWs.

I understand thats b'cos the R1200 have too much electronic stuff and only the BMW agents have the FULL equipment support to service yr bike as well the support from the principle office in Germany to update any latest Software to yr bike CPU.

What do i know and i could be wrong.

Hope i have helped you:D

Hahaha.. Having bad experience with PML now!!! Just check and found out that the part which PML claim to be faulty & needs to be change (already change and paid for) does not belong to my bike.... Will be calling them later to verify.. They did show me the damage part but I cant seem to find the part number in the Repair/Service Manual and now I found out that the part its actually belong to R1100/1150 RT and not my 1200!!!

First bad experience was only last week where they asked me to change a part based on gut feeling as their diagnostic machine is down. And I have to waste my leave and time to go over to a few time and leave my bike there for them to check again (Lost of transport)... And now this happen!! WHAT HAPPEN TO THEM!!

This is my first BMW and all this lousy experience with the only dealer here in SG... But anyway is the same for other brand of bike (Yammy (HL)) too.
