Hahah! bro, i am just a noobie lah...

It is not a good practise to leave your bike on the side stand for prolong period as the EO might slip into unwanted places. Some guys reported thick carbon built-up on the left head after leaving the bike on the side stand during the winter! hahaa!!

Personally, i feel it would be good if we can park the bike on the mainstand whenever possible to reduce the possibilty of carbon built-up.

Juz took back my bike from BKK BMW. Brilliant service by one of the sales consultant over there. Kept in contact for 1+mth while waiting for the part and updated me accordingly. Even paid for me first an amendment fee which was required by the courier company. Simply amazing. Our counterpart here has alot to learn from him. And i really mean ALOT. At least Mr Thai meant what he said, unlike Mr SG here.

Just to share, here's the price list for BMW bikes in Thailand. For the GSA, it comes with ESA, TPM and ASC.

Try bleeding the clutch and review the situation.

Could it be that the clutch fluid is leaking??

Dear All Bimmer Riders,

Recently after my short trip to Betong, I discover both my fuel flange were leaking.

On the left side, I have to replace the whole fuel pump assembly which cost around $800 plus.

On the right, the fuel flange itself have to be replaced and it costs around $200 plus.

Best thing is, I have no idea how long they will last!

I read somewhere online saying the plastic parts tends to "dry" out thus will crack easily after 1 or 2 years.

It seem that the weakest parts on the bike are the fuel pump assembly and connections itself because of the chosen material. PLASTIC. :faint:

Someone recommended me to a website which show a guy custom his own fuel flange with alumimium material.

He also changed the quick disconnectors to Colder product.

http://www.gunsmoke.com/motorcycling/r1200gs/quick_connects/index.html

However, he does not sell it. Alu flange2.jpgAlu flange.jpg

I was thinking if there are sufficient interest, I will talk to local milling company to produce the fuel flange in Alu as replacement.

Kindly PM me if you are interested.

Please take note that I do not represent any company or watso ever. I am sharing my idea to improve the bike further.

Wow, the Gunsmoke guy fab that? Cool job. He has this obsession with zebra scheme on his bikes.

Jason, I reckon that some of the online sites will carry the requisite disconnects and connectors; hard to imagine that BMW invented something totally new.

Cheers

Hi bro!

Yup! What he did is simply amazing! I planned to do the same thing on my gs so that I can keep the worrying beans at home when I am riding!

The quick disconnectors are easily available from the net. Most likely I will change the connectors as well.

Damn! The plastic are causing some much headache!

Regards

Jason
