haha, googled long ago. it is different last I remember it :p.... tinier... like a little mistress of the GSA

 

Hence, i mentioned that I've never seen it in SG before.... rather curious how it looks like.

Brake pad, can go motoworld to change SBS.. not costly and braking power is there.

That is for sure...haha..

 

In terms of servicing? Say oil change i usually pay about $80 for oil n filter at 5000km interval. How about bmw? Say a gsa?

Hi Beemers, i ned some opinions.. I'm looking at the F800R.. u guys think it would be a good ride? my mileage is on the high side, i've clocked 20,000/yr on sg roads alone.

 

How would the maintenance costs be like? I really love to own one but not sure if i can manage financially.

 

F650GS and F800ST is also on my watched list.

The F800R is a very good bike for sg traffic. Handling is light and the seat is low enough for both feet resting comfortly on ground . 16 litre of petrol for me can cover 350km.

I just did my 10k cost me abt 100+++ just oil change , oil filter n gaskets. If DIY only 80plus the rest u can do the maths. Hope it help.

Bro in the US BMW price is not much different from JAP.

Maintenance wise Is cheaper if u willing to DIY. And if u

U prefer to go PML be prepare for their unrealistic labour

Charges....

based on your signature ride photo, I guess you need not to worry about the maintenance cost by PML, from F800R, F800GS & F650GS, I finally decide on F650GS despite both F800R & F650GS machine cost almost same and F800R better spec than GS model.

 

Reason for buying is to keep riding, speed is not for my age and today I shock to realize am already an "Older worker" from the Budget 2012.

i would love to wrench the bike if it is nothing major on the engine.Does anybody know where we could dispose old engine oil the "environmentally friendly way" here in sg?

Just bring to any bike shop and use their disposal sump. They will not mind as they are paid something when it gets collected.
