And you can either bring it to a reputable bike shop for them to reset the ABS for u with their machine and charge u a fee for it or u can try diy-ing the ABS reset using this method :

i did experience the ABS problem on my 1150GS a while ago and had read up a few articles on resetting this way before i try it on my 1150 and it works. i had attached the 1100GS youtube video to make it easier for u.

What sort of mileage are you guys hitting on the R1200 hexheads? I hit 18.33 km/l, highway riding measured over 145 km. Is that good or bad?

Those figures look pretty decent for over 145 Kph and when taken to over 160 to 180 kph the FC will be abt slightly abv 16/L.

I think there is one for sale at pml... grow dust liao. One of the brudders here left it there for sale that time. At the carpark next to workshop.

Thanks. Sorry if my post was not clear, I meant 145 km distance for the measuring of the FC. I was doing about 100 to 130 km/h. I guess FC was ok then.

thinking of getting a F800ST for day-to-day travel and weekend trip to malaysia, any advice???

 

Recently got myself a F800ST. Nice bike for commute, with the expandable panniers. Only thing is bike gets a little hot around the knees and thigh area in stop and go traffic.

bro apart from price diff, pml offers to pick up ur bike sjould it break down anywhere in malaysia during ur 2yrs warranty. yes u cannot service ur pl bike at pml unless u pay they 5k to suck u further. haha

to add on,

if u want to claim warranty, u have to pay up front for the claim items. after the warranty goes thru, they will refund u back the money.

 

personally i feel, if u were a grease monkey, then its worthwhile to get a PI edition.
