i m not a fan of the new touratech boxes..seem to me like a "designer" box, it like carrying a LV bag for jungle trekking.

I prefer the original alu boxes, looks more rugged

Just for discussion ...

Face the reality, how many SG BMW GS riders go off roads ?

Maybe not even 1% of the whole GS community.

I think is better to do things to suits your personal application.

But I know half of them are posters because I own a GS.

Never tour or whatsoever and their usual excuse is no time to ride ... :p :p :p

Everytime I stir shiit and make people angry with me ...

Should be going for the GS. I think the GSA is kinda bulky.. and I am not very tall. 1.74m and I already gotta tip toe a bit when I tried the GS.

By the way, if I wanna fix boxes on the GS, is the rack universal? ie once I fix the racks for side boxes, I can fit bmw, touratech or H&B boxes? Or do I have to buy racks that are specific to each model of box?

I'm about your height.. No prob on the GSA.. Though i tip toe too.. Its looks and feel bulky.. But once on the move.. U will be amazed on how nimble the bike is but yet so big and heavy.

Yes, I can see you are a very happy man ever since you have it. :p

Bike is big, bulky because of attachments, nimble thanks to almost perfect German engineers and heavy only when you load up a lot stuff.

GS is very easy to handle. I just like you, I am in love. :p

Anybody here have problem crossing the Causeway?

A few weeks back I went through the Causeway checkpoint, first time after almost 20 years, and I find that my bike with panniers can barely squeeze through the lanes on the Singapore side! All sweat and holding back a long queue of "cubs" behind me.

I usually go via the Second Link but as I was following my friend to Pasir Gudang track, it is nearer to go through Causeway. What a nightmare, and I can smell my clutch burning from those half-clutch maneuvers.

Which lanes..? The 2 conjoining ones before the booth..? Or at the booth...?
