where to get that IAT sensor override?

It's call Accelerator Module.

http://www.sol2.be/Performance/ENG/Home/index.html

Have a read and this is basically the improvements:

Fuel consumption will increase a little but will improve your bike performance.

Idle smoother, more stable & consistent

Better low speed throttle response

4200 rpm buzz/vibration reduced

Acceleration is sharper/no hesitation

Engine rev more smoothly

I bought the extended version and use it for 3 years plus and sold it off together with my full exhaust system.

It may work for some and may not work for others. Cheers

Once u ride a BMW , u will never want to ride a Japan bike anymore.

.

BM bike is the one and only available with stock HID/xenon headlight. Generally well equipped with good specs.

Personally, like the GS and GTL.

But suggest try the new goldwing 2012 made in Japan....

what coolcat said is very true. i would suggest don't inherent such cheapo mentality unless you are least important in society and find yourself have a lot to kill. afterall you had reach this level of riding a bmw gs adventure and you can't afford to pump petrol in singapore. i seriously think that your maths sucks. if you would have dbs card you get 17 percent off your petrol bill will come down to around 1.75. you will never run dry to pump in jb. assuming you get 30 litres and save 15 dollars sing and what about your wears on tyres and changing engine oil and filter and major servicing with a higher expenses earlier ? clocking more mileage will eventually affect your resale in your future. many give themselves some crap reasons for supper and ciggarettes ended up with unhealthy lifestyle becoming fat and unfit. is up to oneself to take my words seriously or someone going to hate me and trying hard to find out who i am, all these are unnecesary because they are base on true facts and figures. this is life, be smart or be stupid is up to you.

Don't buy bike if you don't want to have high mileage. Bike is for you to ride not show off.

Not all bmw rider are high flyers... ..Bmw price is comparable with japanese in the US.

Pussycat theory is one of its kind. haha

Maybe he is not there yet in society to perceive riding a GS is special level.

Don't worry Puss, you will reach there soon. Work hard for it.I am also working towards that level

On the other end, I am curious what's the sacrifice one takes to ride a GS? What's the average annual income for a GS rider. GSA certainly don't come cheap ...any bro care to share.

BTW PML just got dealership for Touratech, So it's GSA will come with a complimentary set of side panniers from Touratech. Model I cant recall, something Pro.. All in price around 48K only.

Hi. You mean to say for GSA, its now $48k OTR fully loaded (including side panniers)?

The price came off a little?

S$0.78/L (RM1.90 @ 2.45 exchange rate) x 33L = S$25.74

S$1.995/L x 33L = S$65.83

Difference per tank: S$40.09 which can buy you and a friend a very nice dinner before/after pumping petrol in JB + a RM10 bike wash with $ to spare

Thanks for the numbers. Problem is that I do not have 33 litre tank, much smaller :(

Plus I am a East SG boy so it is already 30+ to 40+ km just to leave the country.

Cheers

Anyone using a Shorai or any other Lithium Ion / Phosphate battery? The weight savings seems very attractive. Like lose 3 kg without any disadvantages.

Cheers

hmm.... seems like didnt hear of anyone mention anything about the stock footpeg for the 1200GS. Don't anyone finds it too small and sometime 'feels' slippery when wet? it also felt too "into" the bike...not sure how to desc, ie it will be better for the footpeg to protrude outwards just a bit more.

Any recommendation for footpegs?

Hi guys,

Need some advise here, hopefully get some truthful and genuine inputs from the bros.

I am ready to commit to a bike now and have narrowed my hunt to either the F800GS or the GSA.

However, I am having trouble with securing my choice of color for the above 2 models from PML.

So I would like to check with fellow bros who have actually bought from PIs, do you guys face any trouble getting services, parts or mechanics when it comes to maintenance for the PI set?

I know about the adoption system, but I am enquiring about non-adoption cases.

Thanking you guys in advance.

Most owners I talked to recommended the pivot pegz mk III. Can be gotten at mtechnik.

Don't buy from PI, they will not give u assurance on your bike, plus u will have a hard time to service your bike if it give you problem.

If you can wait, just wait for the colour you want, PML will bring in that particular month, and do a little downpayment and book it.

I think its afterall a BMW machine, so to buy one, I believe we have a certain level of trust on the product quality.

I do know PI unit doesnt come with warranty.

Waiting a 3months period is going to be a great torture and personally cannot go through that la...

So is there nobody else out there who can handle the repair/maintenence of BMW bikes?

As always, Alan of Perfection Motors is the man in my books. If I do not service my own then I'll go to him.
