Antartica,

May i ask.. Shouldn't u go back to them and report wat happened even after paying 900++?

I guess they shd be responsible to upkeep the bike after diagnostics and all and i don't think they shd be charging u anything for that.

i ought to, but it's a case of "**** it" i just wanna get it sorted out... so i went to another shop where they helped me out with my RIII and I was happy with their work...

wah lau... looks like they r not that pro afterall...

Still thinking where to service my C...

there are a couple of options mate

i'll PM you :)

edit: TW, your inbox if full

antartica, hows the r3 man...sorry to highjack the bmw thread. but some cat put the idea of getting a r3 to muck around on.

the RIII is a great and fun ride, but in all honesty, it is definitely not a daily commuting bike.

it's a great ride when there's less traffic and cooler in the evenings

or you have a good long stretch like the NSH to keep it going at 100k's for cooling :)

Also, one of the shops at Bt Merah says they can help me retune/remap the ECU for better power use, cooler engine temp, slightly better fuel economy and basically smarter programming, without installation of any external packs.

Heard the most EX was the brand oxford from MW but not sure hows the review though.

I'm currently using the ah boy canvas 4XL size. Bought for $28 in early 2011. Been slightly more than a year now and it starts to tear already at the top due to frequent exposure of the sun.

For $28 i guess its pretty decent.

Anybody has plans to order Cee Bailey's windscreen? I intend to get one, but the shipping is prohibitive, so I'm looking to share the shipping cost.

Papabread79, 550km including the reserve tank/fuel blinking sign?

If not, how many km can the GSA travel on reserve tank/fuel blinking sign?

Its ard there bro depends on the way you ride.. Sometimes i do get near 600km.

On reserve mode so far i've tried ard 85-90km on reserve. But my advise base on personal experience, dun run your bike dry too long.

It makes the fuel pump works harder and tat piece cost a staggering sgd $700 from PML. Tat will be left side on the bike, main auxilliary pump. On the right is sub pump of the auxillary but not as expensive.

Changed mine due to wear n tear.

Usually for me i'll just top up ard $10 here once it hit reserve to last to and fro work before hitting the checkpoint at night for a top up.

Hope it helps.

Do you experienced front end wobbling at 150-160kmph? I experienced it during my last ride to kl. I got no problem riding normal speed

i experience it too. when my panniers are fully loaded. tried hitting 170++ but the wobbling is quite bad. tried adjusting the rear suspension but nothing.

If you order from US and free delivery in US, you can register a delivery address with Vpost, the first shipping have S$20 discount, that may help to reduce your shipping cost, but do remember to click and check the discount criteria during the payment, I missed that thinking the first service how to get discount, too late to get to know during the 2nd shipment.

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm presently having Wilbur's front and rear. Had tried cranking up the rebound and preload. Situation improved slightly, guess I need to find someone who can help me fine tune the setting.

Cheers.

hi,

for suspension setting right, i believe, u yourself have to find the sweet spot. its more like a trial and error kinda thing. my setting will not suit u and vice versa. so do try out the tuning. keep a note of your setting, and go for a ride. its very tricky.

cheers
