Shouldnt be an issue to retain the old jetting, might just require a higher setting/richer setting to compensate the pipe.

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Hi all,

Anyone encounter the S4 bike sound listen like "Subaru" not a "Honda"....

Cos today service carburettor and tuning, as previously when throttle respond like turtle, now like rabbit!

Feel the speed increase and respond fast also, but the sound becomes difference. Is this normal?

Anyone have the experience before?

Thanks in advance.

just change all the 4 pin attach with the black color PVC type thing and the black color PVC type inside the carburetor.

Had check, no abnormal found. power is great! just the sound listen become difference during RPM 2~5k. above 5k will be difficult to hear difference.

I don't know if there's anyone else who's facing the same problem as me, but here goes.

My Super 4 PB1 starts as per normal with a single push of the starter when it's cold. But when it's hot, for example when after I pump petrol and start it again, I'd have to turn my throttle a bit for it to start.

My last carburettor service was a year ago. It's really not a big deal to me, but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.

hi,

i dont know where to post but i will start here since i suspect it is carb problem that my spec3 encountered.

Firstly, i notice my bike sound like subaru as what a forumer mention here, i suspect some misfire, so i use wet tower to check my header temperature,

sure enough, one of the header not heat up, engine vibrated than normal. idling low. no power loss though. so i try luck, change all spark plugs today.

but the header still no heat up same problem. i suspect one of the cylinder not firing..anyone here can comment.

i decide next few day when i off, going to sent to planet motor to see how.

You need 3 things for a cylinder to fire.

Spark

Fuel

Compression

First remove the spark plug cap and insert a plug, crank the bike over, can you see spark?

Second, go for a ride, remove the plug, is it wet can you see fuel?

Third do a compression test

I would suspect its something simple like a dead plug lead, maybe a coil?

Cheers

It doesn't matter what the question is, the answer is more power!

Hi guys,

Will changing my carburetor from stock to aftermarket like yoshimura have any different to my bike?

Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2

Higher fuel consumption... So instead of 18km/liter, it will be about 15km/liter... Pickup faster, top speed maybe faster... But go so fast on super 4 for what? U wan go fast, sports bike is more stable when going fast... And the yoshi carb cost about $1800 excluding shipping fee...

Anyone know a shop that can tune Keihin Roundslide Special CR Sidedraft Carburetors?

Tuning for this racing carb is different then for normal carbs, they need to be bench tuned meaning that there is no access for a synchronize kit. You can sync them by CO testing or temperature at the headers. I guess I need to change needle but I need to leave this to a specialist.

Any suggestions are welcome, I have all manuals if that helps.

Thanks

You live more in five minutes on a bike like this going flat out than some people live in a lifetime.
