hi guys...is it ok if i don start mi zee for about 5 days..??

 

Should be fine; if your fuel-air ratio is right, and if you don't have water in your tank, you should be able to start it with an extra attempt at ignition or two. I've left mine parked for about two weeks at work when I was away on holiday, and it fired up after the fourth try.

 

Just be careful not to crank for too long - I stick to 4 seconds max. per try - and wait about the same amount of time between attempts. Also don't open the throttle too wide when cranking - this isn't a 2-stroke bike, and you might just end up bogging the engine.

 

Oh, and if you're using the stock tank, do remember to turn the fuel petcock valve to "off" if you're parked longer than overnight (I don't have to because my Safari tank valve is lower than my carb).

Hola guys, ive a problem here. Lately, my drz giving me this issue..when ridding up slope or when i drag my bike at gear 3 to 4. My engine power cut off..and followed by a loud back fire. Its just like u ridding n turn off the ignition. What could be the cause of this?

I had that problem b4... mine was e kill switch button... but urs oni on gear 3 or 4..could b somethingnelse..

Yes, but actually any gear as long i drag..the engine dies off..could it because of the spark plug? Hmm need raptor to advise me...

Sounds more like a jetting or carb problem more than anything else coz you are saying it happens on high rpms... should be nothing to do with gearing.. in my personal opinion without seeing your bike.

Hi fellow riders, for those interested in getting 1st hand DRZ, you can get it at M1 motoring at Ubi. Look for Ah Mok. I'm getting from him this coming month. OTR evrythg in is 16.5k. its the 2013 model.

i have cackling sound when i go above 70km/h only. anyone knows what's that sound?

i've checked my bearings, i plugged out my speedometer, took my pillion foot pegs. there is still that cackling sound.

any idea? help. thanks!

Have you checked your chain tension? The first thing that comes to mind is that your chain might be too loose and its banging around the guide and chain guard is what's causing the noise.

 

I'd bring the bike in to a workshop just in case.

Its your coil going to wear out soon.

i tot coil is only for engine starts? on the move can have cackling sound for worn out coil?

Maybe there's an evil witch in your fuel tank that gets off on your going fast.

That sound might be from te chain. I use to get that. +1 on a worn chain. Keep jumping all around while on the move.
