Keropoz > Bike shakes at 60kmph..my views are either its mechanical or rider

mechanical

a. check the wheel if the balancers come off or it may need balancing

b. Wonder if givi box if removed will give same problem?

c. try a smooth stretch of road to see if problem persists

d. feel round yr tyres with bare palm for evenness.

e. handlebar balancers ?

f. wheels axle bearings OK.. wheel should not shake left right

rider

f. change riding style to see if any changes. Try sitting forward to shift CG forward a little

g, hold firmly but not deathgrip on handlebar and tank when reaching 60kmph

now it's like so lame when everyone's fighting amongst each other la..i also guilty of it actually hehehe...no reason to take forum comments seriously wat...its childish to use how a person behaves in the forum to decide on his character.u all never play MIRC before ah-

ok bottom line is , I don't tell Stormers , Kruzer, Phantom knights their polo are good material for wiping chain or some other things.

The word is RESPECT bro, VARA is the same as those groups.

And there's this someone who just don't get the word respect into that numbskull of his.

Ok , soap opera aside.

U r right. Aim for forming VARA to share information, rides , lobangs , make friends, talk about varadero.

Its hard in the begaining , but eventually we will achieve our aim. I am sure. I will see to that when i am back.

Al simmons>> Is it cagiva ? elphant or something , I wouldn't be surprised even if I see HK plated varadero in SG.

I know a fellow who would ship his Dero into SG from HK , then ride up Thailand. That guy is hard core too, he tried Tibet , silkroad.

Keropoz>> do a ride without box, then u know if its the box that cause it. If not , might be tires - alignment or its worn out unevenly..

al -simmons> Sg got this bike, its brought in by MAH. Saw an uncle on it once. I think its on a suzuki vee-engine.

I think they shipped it in. As for really ride it into sg, might be possible too, got $ will do.

I was quoted SGD 8k for travelling on my dero thru the silk road, admin, permit, organiser fees... etc

Thats excluding freight which is abt 3-4k , for the bike to ship to China.

It was a Triumph Tiger with black tank-bra with a knobbly tyre hung at the side. Foreign number plate. I saw it too. Yup it is a rare bike here but there are a few here. I think Big Mah had the Tigers too. Not that often seen though. I have seen a lime green Tiger version.

The Aprilia agent here is Big Mah.

Thanks Stargate for the prompt reply...

Somehow i will try to solve the problem...

Do you think going to boon Siew will help?

Suggest you try riding without the Givi to see if problem still exists. I presume u know how to remove the box. If problm remain then go to Boon Siew without it n get them to ride the bike.

Al-simmons, yup, confirmed it was a Tiger. Why? Because I happened to be just beside it when the bike was parked at Regina yesterday (afternoon). Oh yah, the word "tiger" was on it too.

Really seasoned looking bike. Didn't pay attention to the rear tyre but only noticed the one strapped/hung on the bike.

haha...i saw him late afternoon at about 6+ i guess....in front of sim lim square....

maybe he just finished buying some spare parts and off to his hotel.....

i was just behind him at the junction....not enough space to squeeze beside him....or else got to chat for a while...

dunno whether he rode here alone or with his members...

Aiyoh.... seems like lesser n lesser r going for the trip :giddy:

But for me, die die must go..!!! :bouncefire: The show must go on :bouncefire:

Abattory Tomorrow I would try to get the map that we talked about. Got a few weeks more to memorise and familiarise ourselves with the route. Btw, if i too tired then i get the map on thurs instead ah coz tonite got to stay up late o_O

Pro Dero Bro, i changed my air filter already. Cost me $45 from Ah Wah's. Cheap ah! He suggest to use the alternative model of air filter to save cost. I dunno whether its good or not but since he said he tried it on other bikes before, I guess i give it a try. If its good, then i'll recommend it to u vara bros :thumb: But so far, the pick up is NOT BAD BRO!!!!

Aikon Aha Bro, smart question...!!!

U noe wat, the air filter i'm using rite now is sort of recycled. Wat dis ah wah did was he removed the used filter papers from Pingster's old air filter that he kept. He placed a layer of special sponge that he got frm honda on the air filter casing, mede sure its firmly in place, and put it back on my bike

He said he did it on many other bikes before and swears it would work and wont harm the bike. The advantage, he says, is that the sponge allows more air to pass through it thus allowing better pick up. The filter can also be washed several times like the normal air filters

He told me to try it out coz the original vara filters cost a bomb. I tot, why not... :p

First of all I will like to clarify tat I have no objection in u guys forming ur own group. As I always say, the biking community is formed to share any form of knowledge, any kind of experience tat individual encounter so tat we can gain from it. The only difference is tat we r giving our group a unique name to identify ourselves.

Tat individual is not just a monitor hero, he is reality hero who dare to make this kind of comment n dare not even face it by escaping from it. If he dare to make this comment to other group, just c wat will happen to him..........

I hope there is PEACE in all forums and tat we will be sharing with each other watever we know n helping out each other whenever we can with no regards to brand, make n model.

Keep up the gd work OUTRIDERS bros. :cheer:

Aprilla Caponard> Just get to know a guy who just bought one. Will ask him out for coffee one day so tat u guys can know more abt the bike.

Triumph Tiger> Rode the old model before. Very Torquee. Can be one very gd Enduro bike, not very sure abt the new one though but be prepare all the spares is damm XXX cos it is all in POUNDS......
