dmizrahi....me used to ride KTM & WR also lah...the problem that ur WR is having now which is difficult to go up ECP Slope is bcoz....somethingto do with ur air filter and maybe u use original pipe....??? try some mod but really not worth it lah...unless u real hardcore dirt rider then lain lah...for Vara 125 is just how u play around with the gears ya...Like what Daniyal & Visual says is true...Vara125 have benn tested up to Genting Highland...with pillion some more...so i hope that explains all.....

just a reminder...watever oiler u guys using... use car manual gear oil as the juice....remember its "manual" gear oil not auto....

 

cause its thicker then normal engine oil n it will not flows out so fast n easily....

Bros, especially asking Professor Pro-Dero,

anyone knows where to buy only a cigerette lighter socket in bike??

Though it might be useful for eg, GPS, Handphone, Electrical air pump.

 

By the way, just relate to u guys recently (I would like to call it, JOKE OF THE DAY) i was at JB, at 1500hrs, while on the way back to Sg, at the caltax kiosk before malaysia custom, I and my friend were smoking by the roadside, when we were approached by 2 male chinese, one about 30s the other in his 40s. One of them was asking for a cigrette intially, after given to him, he then start to ask for money in a polite way, as I kept on diverting him to ask from ppl who dirve car, the bugger got angry and mentioned that if we dun give, we'll be very sorry and he mention that he got a weapon in his bag but we did not see it, (Haha, this is the best part) After hearing this, I asked him whether is he trying to rob us?? At the same time I took out my swiss knife in my pouch which I was wearing and I challeaged him to rob me by force lor.....they were pretty stunned and within seconds without a word, the two idiots ran to the other side of the road and disappear.

 

After this incident, I went around asking my friends or ppl who have experienced the silmilar case, i came to conclude that, in JB, this can happen anywhere, anytime, irregardless of how many ppl were there nearby at that point of time.

So it's good to be mentally prepared for such a problem should it arise and be prepared when it happen. Becareful when you travel up north bros and ride safe.

Hi Guys... Inspired Tip of the day.

 

I was just reading the Fuel and Mileage Postings. So I thought I share with ur wat I know.

 

I heard about this Fuel Max product on quite a few occasions. It could be true that it improves the mileage but before we jump to conclusions and start buying it and regretting later, I think there are some other factors to consider.

 

There are many factors that contributes to the mileage we achieve. Some of them that I can recall are.......

 

Load: How much load we are carrying affects the engine power that is required to drive the bike. The heavier the bike the more power it requires. Previously wat Visual emphasize abt 1k Vara (Just Relating, no offence to any parties).

 

Condition: The condition of the bike is also very much a factor. Quality of engine oil, tyre pressure, chain and sprocket condition, carburettor condition, air filter and not forgetting the air/fuel mixture setting and idling rpm.

 

Grade of Petrol: The type of petrol u feed ur bike definitely will tell by it's mileage. Try SPC and u know it's big time mistake.

 

Atmospheric Condition: The surronding atmosphere like say temperature and weather also have effects on the bike. Strong winds against the bike travelling direction u will feel the drag but in a same direction, u will feel the boost.

 

Type of Riding: Different riding styles also causes difference in petrol consumption, clutching in or drag gear... U know wat I mean? Also cruising will have higher mileage rather than the Singapore type of traffic where u pick up and stop.

 

Accessories: Any electrical accessories U installs on ur bike will also contribute to ur petrol consumption cos more electrical power required means more fuel burnt to keep the battery powered and charged.

 

These are some of the factors that I can think of. The best way to test the Fuel Max is to use the same bike with and without the Fuel Max in a controlled conditions or similar conditions. Then consider in the long run is it worth it?

still can use bike engine oil for yr oiler...no problem with that...

 

wat im refering to is car gear box oil(manual gear type)thicker.. Auto gear type is too thin...

 

u can get it ar 500ml for ar $5 at any car service shop at the petrol station...they have it in big drums only as they dont sell in bottles type...so keep yr engine oil bottle after using for this purpose if u wan.. 500ml can last u very long....

Anyway...pray for me that my off days will fall on the day you guyz are going....i would love to ride up again and enjoy the scenery...

 

Soon...i have to buy a riding jacket...my sun burnt on my arms....this time so teruk man!...painful!...A suggestion....should wear long sleeve shirt when go for long riding....
