Whats Up DaWgZ!!

Bay>>> You do have a point unless the whole gang is ok with getting lost. There is some truth about the saying "The Fun only start when get lost". There is also some truth about the saying "No fun if your tank is almost empty". Speaking from experience. :cheeky:

But I do not want to see the fire in you die down. Going to Malacca is pretty straight forward. For me, every time I go Malacca, in the Malacca town itself, I will always "hollanded". Very confusing. The durian trip is a good build-up for your Malacca trip. As mentioned by Elan7981, clutch cable and tyre worn kit is the only critical tools you need. The others problems, it cant be helped. Anyway brother, no harm done. We learn from each other. If you need help in organizing and more information, can juz pm me your questions. I will be more than willing to help.

One more thing, the clucth cable, you can try buy it cheaper at Mah Motorsport along Dunlop Road. Another shop you can try is...I forgot the name....along rowell road...

Elan7981>>> Datuk. I cannot make it lah Datuk. If can, surely go want. Cannot resist the durianz. ehehehe. If can make it, you will be the first to know want.

OKAY bro! :bounce: The fire won't die down, i'll try to arrange my time for the durian trip for a start.. :) For the clutch cables maybe i'll try getting it from the website jason posted, since he said it's cheaper :D

Thanks so much again :cheer:

Anyone here knows if our bike (vara125) performance will improve upon installing K&N filter? one of my fren said that if the cc of the bike is small, getting a K&N filter will have not much effect, worse still the bike performance will go down. better use the normal filter. K&N filter meant for bigger cc bike to see its capability. is it true? any comments from the experienced riders?

one more thing, where to get the handle bar that comes with the bmw handguards and its side mirrors that is suitable for vara125?

thanks for the replies and responses....

paradigm> the Ah Soon guy ur talking about is from 1st motor rite?

Bro Redir> I think if u use K&N air filter or other after-market ones, and provided they can displace air at a faster rate than stock ones, you will definitely feel a diff no matter the CC of engine. H/w the diff may really kick in after your throttle open above a certain band cos at low revs the bike will feel slight less power. i experience this for my current and past cars.

On my vara, the crazy dudes at Mah Motor (S'goon) put in a SPONGE when i first rolled out my bike. (Can u believe it?) It sputtered abt like a sick puppy for a few days until another mech spotted the prob and changed to some after-market brand modified from those used on ducatis...

Now ok lah....

Yupz Ah Soon from First Motor now at BikeWorks. Powerlah he. Very nice guy.

All those going for Durian Fest> you guys wanna do some exploring after the makan session? some beaten tracks, semi-broken bridges, minimal off-roading, check out waterfall? At Taka Melor, not Takashimaya, kampung area within 20-35km from Labis? I've been there only once but can ask directions from local.

just read back those old post and realise im actually now riding prodero's old vara. but now the condition was worse as compared to the pic :(

wow.. i feel for you bro.. :slapforehead:

Wow you still remember huh???I will go early for you to sweep the road.......just for you brother AJ...hahahahahahahaaha

perhaps you can 'sweep' from the front? maybe can borrow road sweeper from MOE?

same....still prefer saturday...

but since u mention coming back by 1400hrs....then should be ok...

sat is better for me too but please go with the majority.. somehow i doubt we'll be back by 1400hrs.. :cheeky:

i dunno what you consider an 'experienced rider' but.. i installed a K&N filter mainly for conveniece.. permit me to explain.. rather than spending $120-$140 on an air filer every now and then.. i felt installing a washable filter made more sense in the long run.. my bike was definitely smoother after installing it and i had no regrets.. but just bare in mind that 125cc is well and always 125cc..

as for your handlebar with mirrors.. unless yours is not stock you have a $400+ weighted, balanced and heavy made-in-europe piece of fine equipment in your hands.. if you are up for a change, a very good, reliable and good all-rounder is an african twin handlebar.. you can get from FJT alone rowell road.. will cost you $70 plus 2x $15 for inserts..

Guys. Here is a warning to all. :giddy:

Be sure to check ur tire valve caps and ur tire pressure when u moving off. My tire valves has been stolen by some cheapo and brainless people. Air been let out also. Hope his tire hit nail and puncture when he park his bike. :gun:

Is there any top up today?

Unless Jason put up a post but weekly group top-up is still fixed on Wednesday nights.

I have been monitoring the traffic online through LTA Traffic Cams for the past 1 week, it seems that there is a perpetual jam from 7pm - midnight, even at Tuas Checkpoint. Is everyone rushing in to top-up petrol ?

Hmmm, from what i know it has always been this jam since the "no petrol to foreigners" rule was issued. but then even when they withdraw the rule, the jam doesn't seem to go away :slapforehead:

but is the jam at tuas as bad as the one in woodlands causeway??

Traffic condition at 2158. Both sides are packed, but Causeway is worse.

Traffic condition at just past midnight. Traffic at both sides has drastically reduced. There is still a queue at the Causeway while the 2nd Link is almost empty.

Meet 10.30 tonight at JAI.. leaving ard 11 to avoid the jam.

Weekly top-up IC > its really hard to imagine if the weekly top-up would continue smoothly. Apparently the group is getting really lesser. Maybe can get a feedback if anyone still wants to continue to have the weekly top-up together or they prefer to go on their own. If the latter is the case, maybe we can make wed as a weekly vara gathering day somewhere in Spore?

Same here, cos i usually have school early in the morning the next day.. So it will be quite difficult for me to wake up on time :D I think that a gathering every week is better, we can spend the time from the jam at the 2nd link doing some catching up. ;) It would be better if every week we go to different places for makan and talk coc*k session :bounce:

paradigm ==> Nice meeting you the other day, the bike wash was excellent! Hope the rain didn't spoil your day, power first time i see someone riding so fast in heavy rain without visor  :cheer:
