Powder coating finish effect will be orange skin. Correct me if im wrong, for rims (smooth finish) it has to be anodized not powder coat.

Btw, if you still wants to powder coat, you can try Blk 11 Defu Lane 10 (industrial), sorry i cant recall the unit. The shop quote me $45 for a pair of fork (the bottom half).

Well my experience from powdercoating my rims is definitely a no no for me. After 3 months, still got chips frm stones flying. Best if you could anodise it. Even better and ex. Am not sure where to do though.

powdercoat is just like paints, only they "paint" them in powder..

so the colours are wide range..

anodising is something like electro-plating..

colours are limited due to the process..

limitations are only can do on aluminium and degree of colour is also depend on your grade of aluminium..

anodising will fade away..

but powdercoat dun..

just make sure you thoroughly clean your parts with degreaser over and over again to make sure it's clean before the powdercoating process to ensure that the coat wun chip off due to poor preparation..

Hey Biting_point. Are your swingarms anodised or power coated???

it's powdercoated..

if you see the photo in the DRZ thread, you can see the chip offs, regretted not cleaning it thoroughly before sending them in..
