This is for your main headlight which is hi/low

Many people call this h4 with 35/35watt. But

Officially is know as HS1. Looks similar to H4 but H4's original rating is 55/60watt.

Those who change to H4 should experience your headlight reflector turning whitish and some case battery drain because of higher load of the bulb.

Initial design was meant for HS1 35/35watt.

Handful of those who had Voltmeters on immediately saw better light throw and NO diff between original bulb and the Osram bulb.

Position light should be T10 wedge type bulb is another thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Post WC promo for HS1 bulbs.
Buy 2 Osram HS1 bulbs get 2 Philips MotoScooter bulbs FOC (high quality good replacement)
Ahhh I see. Thanks for the info and clearing my doubts ;)
Guys... My recent servicing which includes changing oil filter, iridium spark plug, motul oil and hella horn had caused my bike failure to start on a few occasion. I can hear some cranking sound but physically seems like nothing is cranking. Kick starting did started the bike promptly though.
You are not alone my friend, it happens to me often (but not everyday) especially in the morning or if it is left to sit for the whole weekend, things I did was to change battery (obviously battery is not an issue in the first place), replaced stock CDI with another stock CDI and starter coil (so this explains the problem may lie deeper). You are luckier as you have a kick start mechanism while mine has none (GEN 1 fz16) so I have to push start. Apparently after searching online, it is 1 of the common issues for fz16 which explains why GEN 2 onwards has a kick start mechanism (which includes ST version).
My posts are based on peaceful discussion, honest questions happy jokes. If for any personal reason u find my post not suiting your ego, scrolling and clicking is always faster than typing. Not hearing my retorts to your rude remarks only means I have confirmed that your upbringing is that of barbarians.
Thanks for the reply! Um really just glad that there's at least a backup of having kickstarter. Hope you eventually had the problem solved.
Thank you for wishing me luck, in actuality, I went to many bike shop and all of them gave me vague answers, might be this, might be that, I followed their recommendations and problems still persisted, I spent $1000 in trying to solve my starting problem and still the same, I have more or less resigned to my fate live with this problem till I pass my class 2A and change my bike to CB400X eheh~ eheh~ eheheheheh~~~*drools*
Yeah nc750x is indeed better in all aspect but riding in Singapore....cb400x is just nice for everything in terms of the traffic conditions during peak hours, total expenses on bike etc, but it is just me though hee hee.
No problem there my friend ^_^ I actually did at 1 point of time serious about getting NC750X (me being someone who loves big sized adventure style design and with its poison and seeing it on the road countless times zipping past me.... eheh~ eheh~ ehehehehehe~ *drools profusely* *wipes my drool*) but have to patient for another year of waiting before getting Class 2 but oh well, I guess people do change as time goes by. Reminds me I was crazy about getting sportsbike but within 1 year, I changed my mindset about the type of bike I should be getting. Wonder if I am just fickle minded......
Have a good week ahead mates. Peace :D
Hi,
is there any difference between FZ16 and the FZ16ST version?
And any recommended place to get it? seems like the price for used bike is pretty steep too.
The main difference I can think of is the fairing, ST is half fairing and looks nicer than the normal FZ16, minor differences is that the normal FZ16 has 3 generations while ST has only 1 generation, I would guess that they did not do a very good job in the first and second generation before finally reaching third generation and that they most probably learned their lesson and brought over the improved versions and made the ST version, I maybe wrong though. Recommended shops wise, I am sorry to say I do not have much to introduce as I only shopped around Bukit Merah where there is quite some shop over there, maybe there will be more recommendations from the seniors or maybe other threads that does price comparison.
Like you, comparing the price of used bike for fz16, I decided to get a brand new one. Got it from unique for its 36 months interest free instalment with UOB credit card. Might be slightly more Ex but the total cost is still lower compared to high interest rates else where. Enjoy your bike shopping!
