From what i heard.. its india made. so it's going to be another bike with good fc as compare to fz16. but definitely looks cool. Its one of my top choices besides FZ16 but couldn't wait for the launch.. More choices for 2b bikers and daily commuters..

KTM 125 Duke made in India? What about the first launch of its kind in Milan motor show? It should be a european make right? Any idea where i could get the info for this beauty that states it is made in india? Im very interested to read up on those stuffs.. :D cheers

I just did my headlights on sat. When over to night concepts at first center and changed my headlight to hid, pole to led. Price is reasonable for the ballast that they use. They usually do for cars. So might take a longer time to fit the hid on to your bike. But overall good and friendly service. Look for Dave.

Wch shop? N how much u chnge it? btw hu's dave?....

Try do a search for ktm 125 duke in sbf. I believe I've seen a thread discussion on the topic. I can't find the article I read on the web. I actually called dirtwheel to ask about the launch date before buying my fz. They expect the bike to come in around dec if I'm not wrong. And I'm sure dirtwheel allows test ride on newly launch bikes.

The shop's name is call " nightz concepts" located at 50 Serangoon North Ave 4 #02-18 First Centre. Dave is the boss. Depend on which one u install, mine is both high/low beam hid. $100 with ballast, Dave waive the led bulb for my pole light.

There's another kind which u can switch between hid and halogen. So u can siam TP. Around $80. Price is based on what he quoted me that day. And both comes with relay. Not sure if buy from forum got relay not.

Do you have the piece of yamaha 'coupon' for servicing engine oil etc? I think your vehicle should be under yamaha warranty..did you ask the M1 salesperson? I think you should ask them. ;)

ok, i directly asked HongLeong, they checked and confirmed its under warranty. M1 nvr give me the booklet, but i have obtained it from HongLeong.

i believe u have loosen the wrong method resulting in this problem..

jus go to any bike shop and ask them readjust for u.. since its very new i doubt it becoz of wear and tear

first of all, when i checked, the chain was already very very very tight. i noticed this when i ride, and something from the rear sound abnormal. and when free roll down the slope, i feel my bike slowing down too fast like as though i pres the rear brake. so i gave it a check, like i said, the chain was very very tight. and the chain was already having uneven tension before i made any adjustments. terrible! how can they release this bike with the chain so tight? the one who fix this bike was he even a mechanic? hmmm....anyway, i took the initiative to adjust myself as i am not going to ride with a damn tight chain. i ride a wave before, i own 2 cbr600 before. all bikes i adjusted the chain myself. its pretty easy as there are indications/markings on both side. so i dont think i fix it wrongly, but then....hmmm, maybe this time i c**k eye...lolx! but anyway, i will visit hongleong today.....see how it goes.

Not bad. you actually checked every single thing. I didnt bother to check when i buy. Go down to bike shop, mount on it and off i go home.

Anw, i just hit a side mirror of a car just now. :S

no time to turn back and wave/say sorry due to the traffic.

OH WELL!

actually i did not check everything when i first took it from shop. like mentioned above, when i rode it then i realise it....;) and i also realise fz16 were not given a tool to loosen the rear Tyre? have to use my adjustable spanner....haha!

actually I also noticed chain was tight. never own a brand new bike so attributed to it being new. after 500km, chain slack seems more normal.

the other thing is the chain felt like bone dry when new.

btw, proper chain maintenance contributes to fuel consumption.

tight chain wears out yr chain n sprockets much faster. plus not safe.

anyway i just got back from hongleong. i was right, sure some part has a defect. they changed my sprocket n my chain now is working normally.

Q1: Will this bike vibrate at high speed? As in at which speed it start to vibrate?

Q2: COE now quite high, so how much is the machine price? Which shop do get a better deal?

Do try out the bike for the vibration, if u wanna hear the truth, there are alot of version from everyone. First of all, different ppl have different aspects of vibration level. For me, previous bike was a naked bike, so i feel that the FZ16 vibration is better compare to previous. My friend rode RS125 previously, he tested on my ride, he say my vibration cannot make it... So i bet if u ask ard, some will tell u lousy vibration, some will tell u no much vibration. To mi, the vibration will start ard 90 onwards, but not those strong vibration. So i guess u gotta try it out will give you ur best ans. Just my 2cent. No harm, no flame.

If u dont wanna kanna chop, best I would recommend is Hong Leong yamaha agent. Estimated price for a bike with everything in except COE and Insurance is about 5k. This 5k includes all the paper work + IU + any other stuff. So u can roughly guage about 5k + current COE, that's just an estimated one, if u wan exact u might wanna do some home work by going ard shops for prices. Some bros get pretty good deal compare to price given at hong leong. :thumb: On top of that will be insurance play another part.

If anyone thinks that your vibration is killing you. Here is a simple solution: go ride a HD for hours then switch back to your bike. Tadah! The vibrations on your bike should have mysteriously disappeared by then!

It's not how fast you ride, but how well you ride.

Chill bro... So far no problem for me. As for renthal, i use the 7/8" bar. Fatbar (1 1/8") can be used. But need to install adapter.
