is the tyre on fz16 really bad? what other options are available for that size? michelin or bridgestone? what is the estimated price and any recommended shops to change?

hi im waiting for my tp this coming 23 august.im considering on getting a 2nd hand fz16.ive some pointers which im curious about..

 

-is it advisable to get this bike for daily transpot?as im staying in malaysia,16km from custom and if i work around changi,will this bike be able to stand "custom jam" everyday?

 

-is it ok to get a 2nd hnd bike for fz16?whats the price for 2nd hand fz and the insurance roughly for a 19yo who just pass?

 

-hows the maintenance and mod like?i've seen few fz becoming motards =)

 

-whats the top speed and fc? whats the full tank ?

I placed a deposit for a FZ16 lava red today. Got to wait for the next COE bidding exercise coming Wednesday to determine the final price. $7000 with TPFT base on COE of $1500, no IU. I requested a COE ceiling of $2050, hope it doesn't goes above that.

Haha...not downgrade, still need FZ1N for touring up North. Just came back from Sungei Lembeng trip organised by Encik Pat. One day want to join your organise trip to Malaysia can?

 

I don't use FB...I will come here. If I don't see you around here can I sms you(still same mobile nbr?) as I need your help in getting MO stuff like K&N YA-1611. So when you getting your class 2 bike, Fazer??? Can join Encik Pat trips then....all the way to LOS or even further.:D

Just wondering, what is the stock top speed for this bike? I'm getting mixed results from Google, some say 118 kmph others say 132 kmph. Would it be possible to hit around 150 kmph with yoshi full sys, k&n filter, racing cdi that kind of stuff etc?

latest price is about 7.7-8.3k depending on how u are paying for it... and places to go shop for.. i bought mine at Republic Motors and it was really good service and stuff so quite worth it.

Wah! you were a previous pulsar rider right? You should have waited for P200NS man, its a refreshed model, latest technology. FZ16 is quite dated already. Waiting to see what Yamaha India's is going to produce to counter the P200NS. hehehe...
