So I appealed on the same day. Till today I still receive no reply from LTA. I send the appeal letter to [email protected] so now donno what to do. Fine is long overdue.

If your appeal is unsuccessful, you should pay the fine and get on with your life before you get a court summons. Have you tried giving TP evidence of your breakdown - tow truck receipts, repair bills etc.?

u're suppose to get a reply, from post maybe, that ur appeal is under consideration. if u never receive, better call up TP n check, else u're liable for late payment.

also send in ur tow receipt. ur case might also be unsuccessful, it's up to them.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

If u sent in the appeal by registered mail, bring the docket down to their office.

If not, best to turn up in person with a copy of your letter and whatever proof u have of the breakdown.

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

oh gosh, i just spotted ur mistake, why the heck did u sent to LTA, it's not their deparment to receive or foward appeals, furthermore u send to feedback, which they prob open once in a blue moon.

all summon cases r handled by @spf.gov.sg, aka traffice police. if i were u i find back the appeal email and print a copy + relevant docs and rush down to TP HQ IMMEDIATELY, or just pay up if they let u. it's a serious offence if u delay this.

well, i dont know about u, for me, i usually post to TP personally, n within like 1-2 weeks, they'll reply with a post i can ignore the deadline till the result is out. thus if u dont have the reply in black n white, they can sue u in court for late payment, n i dont want to come to that scenerio.

if u're sure it's LTA, i suggest u call them up and check, get them to send u a black n white they received ur appeal.

TS, jus go down to LTA at SinMing road. Settle on the spot. If kenna court case, even if u got a case, they can only lower the fine that much...if not court case, can be waived off.

Bring ur docs / receipts to prove of breakdown. I always go down personally, dun take tat long also, 30min if got queue.

bro depend on case to case basis. i dont know what u wrote, but maybe they dont like the tone u typed. always remember, it's ur fault that u left the vehicle when it broke down, thus consider pavement parking.

i've once appealed with valid reason n coupon that i pavement parked, however also reject, i guess it depends on location also. imo, if u 1st appeal fail, no use appeal, just pay up, they need the bonus anyway, just donate to charity.

go down, talked nicely to the IO, they are really nice people. tell them in a NICE tone your bike break down this day/time. You feel dangerous leaving it on road as traffic moderate to heavy, so decided to push bike to pavement and wait for tow truck as it is safer for you and the motorist on the road travelling. then show your tow/repair receipt.

if still unsuccessful, it means one thing, you no luck lah...hahaa...

Yeah. IOs are really nice people. Some of them may sound fierce until your balls will feel like shrinking, but truthfully, most are nice.

hw much is the fine uh? since u dun have e towin receipt..i believe wen u repaired ur bike..e towin payment is included in dat receipt from the bikeshop. u have to show dat receipt dat ur bike was indeed towed. as wad madman said, u can say the safest option for other road users and ur bike was dat u park it on the pavement momentarily till the tow truck come. as u had no idea hw long e tow truck would take to arrive, u had to leave the bike for awhile to run some urgent errands. tell them tis is ur 1st time ur bike broke down and plead for leniency. next time u will juz leave it on the road to let vehicles smash it

It's 70 man! I could have taken the money and go for 1 round of oil change! As I have said, currently I am stuck in no where. Cos the told me appeal unsuccessful over the phone and they said would send me a email but it been 2 working day and got nth. So donno if yhey are kidding me over the phone or what man! LTA is really inefficient when it comes to appeal.

So what should I do now? To send my 2nd appeal in? Or just continue waiting for the reply mail from LTA?

really up to u bluesurfer, but heard some pros say better not to speak direct to them or meet them directly, cos the IO might not like ur voice or ur look, so better write them a nice letter where they can have their own luxury time to read slowly.

My advice is to go down personally to LTA and take a queue number. See the investigator and explain to them personally. I've appealed on faulty IU units and they have been very lenient. Go down and settle it once and for all.
