no need to think so far back like before independence... just think back to the 1990s and you will realise the change from then to now is so drastic... i miss those days... i really don mind going back to those days at my current age...

still remembering in the past shop assistant have to spend time affix price stamp on each item on shelves... whereas almost every shop using barcode reader.

ok... for what it's worth... i wasn't born here, but malaysian born actually...

but have been in Dingapore now for 26 - 27 years... thereabouts

served my NS... changed my passport...

basically most of my life has been in Singapore (other than travel for work)

 

 

was here in the mid 80's for a couple of years and then end 87 till now...

 

i totally recall all these nostaltgic photos and all.

This dragon playground is still standing in front of blk 28 of toa payoh lor 6 ( opposite safra toa payoh). Go play in the sand now!

Other then Toa Payoh anymore? I remember playing at the one at bendemer when i was young.

Still remembered last time feeder bus service was only 15cents only the 263 was 30cents the amk to toa payoh service was 50cents.... At least motorcycle parking coupons only increased from 60 cents to 65 cents haa haa.

I feel that the 80s and 90s were the period when I felt very Singaporean. We are Singapore Singaporeans! We have a vision for tomorrow...just believe.....
