Yes, available.

2nd hand prices vary depending on age and condition.

Very good bikes if well looked after. Recently they've done very well in comparative reviews with KTM, etc in the Australasian Dirt bike mags. Top notch suspension and parts on these babies. More Enduro machines than MX bikes.

It's easily as good if not better than a KTM!

Just read bike reviews in mags from other countries. It's not uncommon for the GasGas to kick the KTM's butt!

The new machines also cost as much if not more than KTM.

Problem is that the importer sucks balls and there are very few mechanics with the knowledge to repair these machines.

:(

Anyway, support for any brand of bike is critical which is why KTM's are a good choice. For the budget minded the GasGas is a great alternative but don't expect spares to be readily available and you might have to do a bit of legwork by importing/sourcing necessary parts yourself.

anyone riding a gas gas here? looking for kaki....

I have a EC250. It has the LTR jetting kit and alloy coolant impeller. Great bike for trails.

Hope we can find more Gas Gas owners whom we can share tech tips with.

EC200. 98 model. LTR valve cover / impeller.

Bike runs like stink.

Drinks petrol for breakfast.

Jumps and lands like a champ.

Light as any stroker can get.

BUT

It's just not made for orchard roading. ONLY off-roading. LOL

Ok, since we have a very small community going, how about sharing any tips about our very rare ride? I'll start first:

1. route the crankcase breather tube up and over the radiator. Leaving it dangling down the bike can cause it to suck in water during river crossings.

2. route the 2 carb vent hoses that point upwards into the airbox. The other 3 vent hoses go downwards.

3. Set the float height at about 14 to 15mm. Mine was leaking petrol like crazy before this.

4. Late model Husky rear sprockets are the same as Gas Gas ones.

5. I use 40:1 premix ratio

I'm pretty sure my 250 gets about 10 to 11km per liter. Can be a problem on longer trail rides, where the refueling points are more than 100km apart.

Thinking of getting one of those long range clarke tanks. hmmm....

Anyone selling 2nd hand LTR powervalve cover and subframe?

Hey are u the guy that just bought the EC300 from yahoo sg or just sold? I heard there is only 2 in sg. Can't idle cos its an out of rack race bike. Proly running too rich at standard settings. I'm surprised the LTR jet kit did not selp as its supposed to. I have been told the newer KTM carbs will help but that unverified.

There is already another thread started for Gas Gas owners:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....howtopic=134597

Seems that owners are few and far between. So which model are you riding? Any mods or tips to share?
