15inch sport rims

Looking to change my VIOs 14 inch rims to 15inch ones.

Whats the price range like for new rims?

And does it affect the fuel consumption by alot?

14 to 15 wont affect consumption a lot. perhaps slightly maybe not at all.

 

Depends on the weight of your new rims and also your new tyre contact patch. what tyres size are you using now and what are you going to change it to? If the width increases, you will consume more.

 

But 14 to 15, really makes hardly any diff.

 

Average Taiwanese 15 " rims cost only about $60-120 each

Jap rims will be more expensive. probably $100-$160 each

Again it depends on what material, design and brand.

 

14 to 15 " rims the visual impact is minimal.

maybe you should try 16" if you want to make your Vios look better.

go take a look at Poh Heng tyres at ang mo kio, their taiwanese rims quite reasonable.

go search around for car forum using the famous search engine..

btw, supposingly the chrome rim is slightly more expensinve than the normal one, if you're talking about same brand, same design, and material...

cause the chroming is another process which you need to pay for it!

Hey bro depends on the condition of ur 14" tyres... I trade mine when i 1st got the car and i went poh heng got myself 16" with ST115 tyres(good for wet conditions) for $670... 15" should be quite cheap...

bro, jap rims go to Leong seng or Yap bros at Paya Ubi. Taiwan rims go Poh Heng.

 

just change to a second hand 15' ssr type c (4kg/rim) with 195 toyo t 1r. world of difference from stock 185 tire and of course the rims are much lighter than the orginal.

investing in a set of good rims and tire will be a good choice.

khumo ecsta spt also a value for money tire.

 

if you change to anything bigger, pick up and fuel consumption will suffer.

Actually unless u got a digital speedo that u can adjust the measurement of the circumfrence of the tire very hard to tell if ur FC go up or down after changing rim.. Cos u will get different reading on ur stock speedo travelling at the same speed(actual speed) with rim of different sizes.. but Vios stock rim VERY heavy, think it's 7kg if I'm not wrong.. So changing to a lighter 15" could improve or make no difference.. But sure look better la IMO.. BTW I'm still on stock Vios rim..
