hi bro

most probably I'll b bringing abt a few hundred SGD. There will definitely be balance after the trip. This exclude your bike's fuel consumption to and fro.

A full face helmet, touring apparels and a pair of gloves is strongly advisable.

More info can be found here.

Hope to c u soon.

hi. sorry for the late reply.

1st day:

meet 5am at GP esso. went abt 100kmh till machap for breakfast as its still dark. Think was ard 730am when we set off from machap.

Ard 11am reach KL to meet a friend. Detour to Lata Kinjang Waterfall.

ard 1730 check in at Penang

2nd day;

Visit to Kek Si Temple. had wanted to go up Penang Hill by bike, but its not allowed when we reach the base of hill. went to tram station instead but 1/2 sian by the super long Q.

Decided go lunch at Gurney Plaza's Clinic Cafe. Lobo there a while cos got free wifi.

Went Reclining Buddha Temple and Burma Temples.

Dinner at Red Garden. Back to hotel to park bike.

Night stroll along High court area.

3rd day;

started quite late ard 10am as every1 was tired. had breakfast ard 8am.

took our time to penang hill tram. This time not v long as previously.

Weather is kind enough and started to downpour as soon as we start to leave Penang Hill. Bobian, have to wait abt 40mins

On the move again once the rain cleared.

Next stop, Air Terjun Waterfall. V small and ulu one though. but along the way, u get to see great seaview along batu ferringhi beach, nice phototaking site at Telok Bahang Dam and nice winding road to waterfall.

by the time finish, was ard 3pm. went to a hotel along batu ferringhi to admire their beach and have a rest and drink.

Dinner at Gurney Drive hawker center for their famous laksa and rojak.

Early lights out.

4th and last day

forgo hotel's breakfast. checkout at 5am.

once cross penang brigde. went to mac for bf.

Hoot all the way to KL again. stopped for sight seeing at Putrajaya and sepang.

reach GP esso ard 1700hrs

Split up and home sweet home.

Total distance: ard 1700km

Waited so long yet over in a blink of eye......

Ok thks to bfg1981, no suprises for me. I rode 2 up to Penang 27-30 Sept. As mentioned Touch n Go card needed firstly at the first toll booth second link and much later at Penang Bridge. Riding time 6.5 hours but with stops for fueling & lunch the ride took abt 9 hours.

Route Second link to E2, exit at Nilai for E6(bypass KL), E35 (Guthrie Corridor Hwy) then onto E1 & finally E36 into Penang via the bridge.

No major dramas except 2 road blocks on the E1. First one was before Ipoh - just after Gopeng, the other was after Ipoh in the hilly stretch of the same hway. I noticed they stop vehicles on both sides of the road now...so look out for high beams to warn u.

The Guthrie Corridor Highway is the most deserted strech of the the entire ride....enjoy it!
